Should be able to sort you out with that. Just waiting for the prototypes to come back to the printers.

A polished finish is available but it does cost more. The standard finish is similar to those on our white metal castings. The print lines are less than 0.1mm.

No worries. I presume you would like it at Telford?

Hi Neil,
Both the 4 compartment 1st/3rd comp or all 3rd and the 4 compartment brake 3rd are £100 each. I posted a photo in the Furness Album

Unfortunatly I have not been very well over the last month. I'm hoping to make some progress on the 4mm stuff in the next few weeks.

In hind site The Pre-grouping Railway Company would have probably been a good name but as we have been using the Furness tag since 1999

No that have an invested interest in the Gunpowder van but it looks really good finished in the red livery.

Yes our web site is http://www.ukmodelshops.co.uk/catalogue/furness#.UZ3QZeRwbIU
it needs an update as some of the new kits are not on it yet. The kits are usually a mixture of resin, brass and white metal. We work on the principle of if the part was originally made from wood we make it in resin, if it was made of steel we etch it in brass. Axle boxes are in white metal and buffers and couplings are sprung.

I quite agree. The market is too small for every-one of us to do the same prototypes. Although I have noticed some manufactures, naming no names, advertising that they are shortly going to produce wagons that other people already have out on the market.
I have been asked on number of occasions if we are going to do a wagon that other manufacturers were producing or I knew they were about to and I've past their details over. Some might say that it's not good business but this is supposed to be a hobby, not city trading.
I think I'm right in saying that you did the later longer box van that ran on a steel under-frame? The one we are looking at doing is the earlier shorter version being 16ft long, 10ft wheel base that ran on a wooden under-frame which is the same as our GNoSR Cattle van.
