  1. Yes please on the Thompson wagon. I'm wondering if they also supplied coal on the Furness line at carnforth, arnside etc.🤔
  2. The wagon is of a pre-23 design. Which doesn't help. I would dought the location being Glasson Dock as I would question if a LYR tank would have been allocated to Lancaster shed (either one). I could be wrong though.
  3. In the lightmoor list there is a W H Shaw of Haslingdon (near Huddersfield) with two references KT9 Pg 75 and KT13 Pg 114 the latter has a reproduction of the photo along with 3 pages of info on the company. Interestingly the caption on the photo states that the loco is a LYR 0-6-2T. Copyright on the photo John Alsop and for the book Keith Turton
  4. I'm looking to used some foam board to make a quayside has any one go a recommendation? Marc
  5. Great show looking forward to next year. Add bonus was the announcement of the 18.83 layout competition for 2026. I might be able to take my time on this one. Marc
  6. Morning land lubbers. To get everyone in the mood for international talk like a pirate day.
  7. I don't think the brakes are standard NER practice. The should be clasp brakes one side only. These would be operated by side mounted leavers (one each side) for Southern and Northern Divisions and end mounted leavers for Central division wagons. Some very early P7's had a two shoe brake one side only operated with a single side mounted leavers.
  8. I have about 50 wagons to paint and or apply lettering before a week on Friday would anyone like to give me odd on finishing the job before Scalefourum? Very rarely do I get to do anything for me these days.
  9. As long as you cover with paint you should be fine. I don't think a few hours in the sun once a year wil do anything.
  10. I use Anycubic water wash and I find it give a better finish that the elegoo version. Is a little less gloopy. A small tip you need to add a 7.5sec wait time to avoid the suction cup effect and I use a 2.7 second exposure time. Marc
  11. I have had a couple of close calls. But moving to micro layouts they have become less of an issue. My biggest issue now is getting to the show with enough time to clean down and stick the stock on and a test run.
  12. Having spent a plesent couple of hours going throught the Sankey collection I came across something Bob Essery couldn't fnd for his book a D301 in Midland livery Photographed in Vickers shipyard Barrow Marc
  13. Does anyone know what the PO wagons are? Don't think I have them on my list of Po wagons on my list of PO wagons on the Furness. Marc
  14. Doesn't look very Irish the wagons built after independence were completely different. It's not Highland or GNoSR. Marc
  15. I can't identify it but I can say what it's not. Which might narrow the search. It's not Furness, Cambrian, north British, Maryport and Carlisle or NER. it could be one of the smaller Welsh companies. Marc
  16. Your wish is my command These were taken at Workington Show last year Marc
  17. W.C. Boggs is on the road again. It will be appearing at the Manchester MRC show in December and the Kendal MRC show in January. I hoping to run as London one and Carlisle the next so I can use the maximum amount of different stock.
  18. If you have old pressfix transfers that have last their sticky they can be treated as if the are methfix and they stick fine. Marc
  19. Interesting don't think they would be very much effort to turn one of my 299 kit into one of these.
  20. I have an ABS 7mm version sat in a box not sure how I'm going to convert it to S7 as there is no provision for any form of springing. Marc
  21. See you both there I will be manning the Pre-Grouping Railways stand (33). I'm not expecting hordes of people.
  22. It means I can also run a LDECR wagon on my S7 micro which is under construction. Marc
