    Hi John, I have ordered a batch of etches and I'm waiting for them to arrive. I will be chasing them in the morning so hopefully I should be able to post an update. As for the "on backorder" it means I have no stock but they are in the process of being manufactured. For kits most of them are made in house and it just means I can make them to order. Marc

    Interesting prototype as goods trains were pushed up the hill rather than pulled. There are some photos on the disused railway station website. There was also an em model made a few years back. Marc

    Does anyone know where I can find a drawing of the Station building at Littlehaven? I have a few photos of it in the 70's and 80's I'm looking to model it pre-WW1. Marc

    I'm in the middle of building a micro layout based on a dock side. I'm wondering if I need to build the track to have a constent check-rail or to look like tram rail? my intention is to cobble the whole area so only the top of the railhead is visable. Marc

    I use an etch primer you can pick a can up from most car spares shop. Just make sure the surface is clean before you spray as this will effect the paint sticking. Marc

    Both. I have a crossover and a curve with a flat transition. I can get a terrier to run through both but I can only push stock if the loco is chimney first. Bunker first is a recipe for disaster. Marc

    I have used set track on my industrial layout and I wouldn't used them again for even another industrial as they cause buffer lock on anything longer than a 16ft LOH with a 9ft WB. Marc

    What happens on a 6ft reverse curve? Does this problem go away on the bigger curve? Marc

    What resin are you using? I've found my centres fit the tyres initially but have a tendency to shrink over time. I have been using elegoo water washable grey. Marc

    GOG curve standards used to recommend a minimum of 6ft for branchlines and 4ft for industrial lines, because of this very issue. I have used Peco set track on my industrial layout and I have had a heap of issues even with short 4 wheel wagons and locos. Marc

    It's so bad it's not even possible to do that. When you look at it as an engineer it would hold itself together moving it out of the wagon works let alone trying to load ore into it. I keep it to remind me to always have a photo to back up any drawing before starting a project. The other lesson learned was don't believe any drawing done by Rush or Osborne as they are artwork and not a drawing. Marc

    Also could be an export order as the famous Pegasus Bridge over the Orne Canal, in Normandy, is the same design. Marc

    Wrong skyline for Lancaster. it to flat and I cant find any church with a tower like that in lancaster on the flat area around the Midland Station. Thought it might be Morcambe but the Gas Works and the church dont line up. Marc

    I still have a FR hopper wagon that I built in the late 90's it was built from a Rush drawing similar issues the drawing was a work of fiction. Marc
