  4. Just received a cracking quote from a subscriber about the 3D images. I think this sums them up perfectly: "I would say that Pendon in 3D is very different, you do keep spotting things as you "move" around that a flat picture fails to pick up!!!"
  5. It's really interesting how the 3D images have split opinions. I will say that you need to give it 2 or 3 seconds for your eyes to adjust to each image. When they do the result is incredible. At Warley I understand we only had 1 person who was not impressed. But, we're all different... Personally, when I first saw the images I was blown away. The level of detail and quality of imagery is as good as I have ever seen. I would spend up to 5-minutes on each picture, finding new details in every layer. When I move the page it's as if you can peak behind buildings. Like I said, it's clearly not for all but I urge everyone to give it a go...
  6. I really don't know as we've had plenty of orders over the last 24 hours. Can you PM me your telephone number and I'll ask someone to give you a call?
  7. We had a problem with the first email. It was working for a couple of hours before our website decided to have a 'moment'. That's why we re-sent yesterday. It should all be working fine: https://www.world-of-railways.co.uk/brm/promotions/BRM%2fWARLEY17%2fPOSTOFFER
  8. Hi, Did anyone see the 3D images at the weekend? We received some extremely positive comments...
  9. Hi. PM me with your address and I'll find out what's going on. Steve
  10. This quality wasn't about in the 80s and certainly hasn't been used on a model railway. The details it allows you to see is quite incredible with a model railway as big and impressive as Pendon.
  11. No, but the Feb and Mar DVDs are both 'Behind the scenes at Pendon' specials by Andy York and Phil Parker plus a number of special guests.
  12. Some may feel it's 'gimmicky' as you put it but I'd urge anyone who's not sure to take a look. Every modeller I've shown it to has been amazed at the quality.
  13. All digital readers will be able to fill-in a simple online form and we'll post the glasses free of charge. The pictures look amazing on screen!
  14. ...that's next! Seriously though, this really is impressive. I urge anyone at Warley to come and take a look.
  15. Visit the BRM stand (B22 - opposite Gaugemaster) to see what we're getting so excited about...
  16. Hi, I do appreciate you taking the time to PM me as it's important to find out what people like and dislike about the magazine. Not everyone is the same and I truly respect everyone's views. My dream is that every modeller loves and buys BRM. That's a dream though and simply can't happen. I still dream though... Apologies for not replying but I didn't think there was a need to? Steve
  17. Thanks Chris. Everyone has different opinions - positive & negative - but I agree that if readers don't like the magazine, simply don't buy it. BRM won't be for everyone, but we try to cater for as big an audience as possible. The 99p promotion in WHSmiths is the ideal scenario for those who either don't like the magazine (past or present) or have never bought BRM, to give it a go. We wouldn't work with WHSmiths on a promotion such as this if we weren't confident that the vast majority would like the magazine and buy future issues.
  18. Thank you. The team are working really hard at the moment and the results are proving that it's paying off! I can't stress enough how special the January issue is...it's the most excited I have ever been about any magazine promotion. We'll be releasing a promotional video next week...
  19. Happy for you to PM me with why you think that. Thankfully the majority of others don't feel the same judging by our sales growth, but each to their own...
  20. The lead layout (which also appears on the cover and DVD) is The Worlds End. This viaduct creates an impressive centrepiece. Have you seen it at a show? What impressed you the most?
  21. Hi. I've just checked and subs copies were dispatched yesterday so they'll be arriving with subscribers today/tomorrow.
  22. Digital subscribers can fill-in an online form and we'll post the glasses out FOC. Or, they can send us a stamped addressed envelope. It looks great on screen!
