  1. Very interesting, I'm having a similar problem : my phone and computer are aware the router is there, but when I start up engine driver the app does't see the router. Thanks for your input, much appreciated. Maybe I'd better get an iPhone !!
  2. No updates on this I'm afraid : too busy with other stuff to do for the railway society. I'll get back to them eventually.
  3. Hi. Would somebody like to start a PM with me ; I may have something that may interest you. Nothing sinister, just don't want to mention it in public !
  4. Hi Thanks for your interest. The blue for the doors is/was Humbrol number 47. Hope that helps.
  5. Progress: Arriva stock not far off complete. ARRIVA PILE-UP !!!
  6. No probs Tim. I had heard that Hornby are doing Arriva stock and releasing this year.
  7. Progress has been very slow. I have had to re-do the buffet car 5 times, if I am honest. Re-done the DVT 3 times. The two coaches and the 67 are the only items I was happy with, after the first rendition. It's cost me a fortune in decals ! I have been a bit distracted by deciding to do the 47/mk2/47 train, and an FGW Night Riviera train. Photo' s to follow in the next few days "ARRIVA BLUE ? .......... THE SEQUEL" !
  8. Oh well. At least I can say "I did these". Like merf, must get mine finished ! Also doing a 47/mk2/47 train, which I guess the big boys won't do now. or am I so behind the times that they've Already dome it ! Also doing an fgw night Riviera train. I know the mk3's are available, if you've got the money. The buffet car and sleepers aren't though. This repainting lark, is costing me a fortune, as it has definitely got me hooked. Also planning a 222 dmu in midland mainline livery. Already got the cross country donor model.
  9. Hi. What colour should the interconnecting doors be on the mk3's ? I know they are white for the dvt, from the photo kindly contributed, by "big jim".
  10. Thanks merf. The buffet car has the doors on one side light blue, and Arriva Turquoise the other side. I know this departs from prototype, but I think the doors should all be turquoise anyway, even though they aren't for a very good reason. regards Keith.
  11. Hi. Some photo's of progress with the Arriva rake. Microsol solved my problems. Mk2's are for a 57/MK2/57
  12. Had a look at your work Lee...... great stuff. Regards keith
  13. Look absolutely brilliant merf. Nice one! Not far behind you, but did my 67 from scratch. The Hornby one looks very nice Just bought a bottle of the new Klear. Wish I had done that in the first place! It would have saved me a lit of aggro. Really don't know why I didn't!!
  14. Still having issues with the lacquer I'm using. Have just purchased a bottle of the new Klear polish. Will give that a try.
  15. Making progress with my 67/dvt train. Photo's to follow soon. Question: Has anybody found an alternative lacquer to Johnsons Klear ? Still having compatibility issues with the lacquer I'm using.
  16. Brilliant photo's Robert.!!! The first photo's I've seen that has reproduced the Arriva blue correctly !!!! Thanks to you the real thing looks exactly like my model !!!! Lol.
  17. Hi Merf No further progress on mine yet..... work getting in the way. As you've probably read on rmweb, the buffet cars are extremely hard to get apart, because the windows and the roof are moulded together, as one piece. Also, the bottom part of the window moulding jams against the seats internally. I tried the various suggestions on rmweb, and none of them worked. In the end, I used an fine, Xacto saw, carefully make a cut between the roof and body joint, the whole length of one side of the coach. I found that this enabled me, with a fare bit of wrangling, to get everything apart. Another suggestion I saw, which is worth a try, is to slit the intercoach doors. This is supposed to allow the sides of the coach to be eased apart, to release the window mouldings from the wedge between coach side and the seats. A made a complete mess of the buffet coach, with my varnish disaster, so I have another on order..... think I'll try slitting the doors on this one. Best of luck. (Not normally awake at this time of the morning...... just finished a night shift ! )
  18. Wow, you were certainly clicking away there Merf. Brilliant detail shots !

  20. Got the 67 almost done...... dvt and coaches a little way behind.
  21. Had a very rewarding reply from paragon paints yesterday. They suggested that the disaster was quite probably down to an incompatibility problem between paint and varnish. Will try using their brand of varnish to avoid problems. Will also try everything on a test sheet first,(until now, I've been in too much of a rush to see the final result)
  22. Superb photo. Thanks very much for the photo and the story behind it.
