Looks pretty good to me!
It will be interesting to see how you improve on something that is already pretty darn good.

Great looking scene, very atmospheric!

Nice, if a little late for me - but I am sure that the principles will work on similar pre-nationalisation stock.
-
Comparison with the original really shows what you have achieved!

Hi Mick
I really like what you are doing here, but perhaps when you are finished you could contrast this with what you would do in 4mm - which would be, I suspect, somewhat less.

Is that a slug on the roof?
(Hope it's not a live one!)

I think I'd prefer neglected!

Now that's uncanny!
Are you just practising before taking on Set 733 in SR livery - or is this a batch process?

Have just worked through your blog from the beginning, and having spent time with you at Missenden Abbey last year and subsequently I am becoming familiar with your techniques and approaches, nevertheless, they certainly bear repetition!
Even though I am not a great fan of diseasels, the results are impressive as illustrated above.
Keep up the good work!

Excellent look to these scenes; love the way the model buildings blend into the backscene.

Sorry to hear this as I for one found inspiration in Grime Street - even to the point of installing Magnorail and building my range of barns to hide it!
Nevertheless, time moves on and you must do what you must do!
I shall be watching Sheffield Grimeside with the same level of interest.

Good luck - sounds a challenging conversion!

It looks fantastic, but you would need to be pretty clever at controlling it amongst all those other moving vehicles - over which you don't have control!

Really sorry to hear this and to be missing the layout at Warley.
I hope that the miscreants are caught and punished, but I also hope that the van & contents were insured...
In any event, I wish you the very best in recovering the situation as quickly as possible.

Having been inspired by your cyclist (as above!) I have gone and bought a starter kit from Magnorail...
I note that the road surface needs to be no more than 0.5mm thick for the magnets to work, and so I wondered what you used for your running surface?
Any help appreciated.

Beautiful weathering!

Have just worked through your blog from the beginning and I love what you have produced. Is there any update on progress since the last post?

Inspirational layout; I was particularly impressed by the cyclist, and many thanks for directing me towards the details for your Polish supplier of road-system parts.

A dark wash to bring out thebolt-heads etc, wiped off with a damp flat brush. Underframe airbrushed, bodywork airbrushed a bit darker, perhaps more than once with streaking drawn down the sides with a damp flat brush. Some powders - light brownish on the footplate & toolbox cover.
Looks great!
