  1. Not so much that but force someone to use a telephone to shop, stuff that.
  2. What happens if you eat an item and offer tto pay cash or card and they do not accept.
  3. Such a convoluted history the old B series and is descendants. All the 2.0l engines were descended from them until MG Rover went bump and BMW brought in its Diesels and then Ford for everything to LR. The G Series was a missed opportunity, but wasn't development around same time as the TD engines? At least the 5 made it to production. G was 8v and 16v common rail. TD was 4 5 6 cylinder 2 valve per cylinder unit injectors. 2 modern 4 cylinder Diesels which never made it to their designed homes.
  4. Sent a cheque off two weeks ago. Still waiting. Can someone kick his leg please?
  5. If I was going on a long trip I would take some spares. 2 airbags 1 spare hydraulic hose 1 injector loom 1 crank sensor 1 aux belt 1 set injector seals engine oil & other fluids set of filters This is for a vehicle with air suspension and active ARBs. Of the spares some are for damage replacement, some are semi consumables and one is only sensor which can disable the engine. This is a 15 year old car
  6. OK I have been thinking on this, day accurate modelling is out, no way could I do it, for a start I never spotted one place for a whole day. Month? Year? I cannot get my interests lower than 6 years, so my railway will be for 6 years range, covering the important for me. Early spotting days and seeing PWM650 fresh from repaint (yes I am building it), an Eastern region aircon set heading to South Wales. Blue Met Camm 101s, Leander on railtours. Then 50 refurb and 28th November 1981 railtours (I have 22 just because Lima made it). Then my main spotting era through the early 80s. Peaks 50s 47s ect Ending up with GWR150 got 34666 4575 4406 on the kitchen table, all Triang based cut and shut TSOs with Replica glazing. Hence Also need Dumbleton Hall, and the above Castles. Area trying to cover Gloucester Cheltenham Stroud valley area, so thinking of keeping a station open which shut between Worcester and Cheltenham.
  7. I have decided that one of mine needs to be. I reckon I can get away with 3 Castles on my Blue era railway, but I need to get them still.
  8. I find Not Going Out very funny and reminds me of older quality studio sit coms
  9. Never had any issues with Precision Rail Blue, I buy the bigger tinlets
  10. Cardiff Yes Tyseley No Dates somewhere in the thread
  11. Ask on Wright Writes thread for best advice
  12. The Parkin book is good, but you can scale up a 4mm model for some sizes, also BR use standard size components, like 2 foot wide doors. A BG would provide a roof and underframe, pictures would help on details, sides and ends are flat
  13. People seem to treat them like they will be really slow. Those people need to be reminded of what may be under a bonnet. Not everything was the old series engine. The V8s, TDI200/300 and TD5s are all pretty good. It is just that you are happy at the speed you are doing.
  14. Says Cheltenham Did you buy locally, if so go back and ask. CMC did used to keep spares.
  15. Manchester Regiment got converted to flush front when I saw it, out with file and knife and yellow paint! None of my Peaks are now double box, either single box or flush nosed.
  16. 46,026 has/had deeper name plates and a single large headcode box. That is a 45,0 as there is no ETH cable.
  17. The clincher was they have removed some products and their shelving. Will probably annual visit if at all as only really any good for Dapol.
  18. Mine leaks hydraulic oil but the level is not going down, had a new steering box and all new pipes on the suspension. Last engine oil leak was a loose turbo feed, prior to that a bung at the end of the cam.
  19. Almost all via internet. Local shop is a bit crap. I have no problems with using Ebay for some items, the sellers on there are not unknown to the hobby, found one who used to write in some model press. Online with such companies as DC, Edge, Precision, if I can find him Shawplan. Comet, Dave Franks buffers, old Parkside. Phone mail order from Replica
  20. And the Toyota needs the Land Rover to extract it!
  21. Sorry Tony. How about the misuse of decimate by many people?
  22. Thanks Jol Looks like a good first steam loco kit for me. Now depends on if I can get decent station plans, if so I get the loco. Also tempted to try EM with this new Peco track.
  23. Replica glazing requires a lot more work as the window holes are slightly too deep for it. The RMB is fine but BSK CK are a tiny bit too deep and it shows.
  24. Thanks all Looks like I may get a LRM 2P 0-4-4T I know quite a bit about the mainline as I model them in BR blue era. Got a green 20 somewhere since the pity thing as both lines were majority steam until closure.
