Hi Chaz,I have some plate wagons with lead shot glued in with PVA and they seem to be fine.I think I done them around ten years ago. The problems seem to occur in a confined space. All the best. Alistair.
  4. Looking fabulous Peter.I enjoy your updates.
  5. That's good news Steve. All the best for a speedy recovery.
  6. That's dreadful Steve,a shocking way to treat anyone. I'm going to Telford this time it's a pity we cant meet up. Keep the chin up mate. All the best Alistair.

Chaz,if you look up some of the model shops specialising in boats you will find a selection of stanchions which you should find suitable. I bought some for a Clyde Puffer I was building and they look very similar to the ones in Giles photo. Alistair
  9. The Fruit D I bought at Telford a few years ago is fine. They're nice to build and have plenty of weight to them. All the other JLTRT wagons I have are also easy to build and have excellent detail on them.

It's looking great Chaz. Peters etchings look terrific.
  11. An excellent idea to cure the problem.Well done Rob.
  12. Peter,I find scoring PCB with a sharp blade several times and snapping over a straight edge works well for me. If it's double sided I score both sides. I'm really enjoying your layout build and with the addition of the tippler it's going to be a great little layout. All the best Al.
  13. It's certainly inspiring Rod. A nice wee project recreating that.
