And a happy new year to you too, Adrian. Good to see the builders are back. Nice idea with the window sills!
-
Looking at the monumental job you've done with the fell, it looks like some sort of film set worthy of ILM or the Weta Workshop responsible for Lord of the Rings etc. Truly a stunning job!
-
why not have pop-out windows that you can swap over when jumping time-frames?
-
I might have to give that a go Jeff, certainly flatter than my previous methods...(which involve the accurate and square, cutting of support strips

Thanks Jeff for highlighting post # 3150, I had to skim back a few pages and have a look! Must admit I missed that.
It was an excellent post, and made wagon conversion look a doddle - I'm assuming with my inexperienced mind, that the right angled metal thingy is a b2b gauge?
I want to go EM!
(I also want to have the time to actually do something on my layout - it's currently a 4 track roundy roundy in cobweb and dust-encrusted Peco Code 100!)
Those platforms are looking brilliant - did you have a particularly easy time cutting the curves on the plywood?
-
You're a bit of a bloody genius, really!
Excellent work Adrian - I love following your builds
-
brilliant work - and fast too!
-
looking really good Al
the colouring is spot on!
-
Nice work on the terraces. Looking forward to seeing it when dried!
-
those bits of cardboard are very exciting

I hope the footbridge isn't damaged - that took months to build, let alone paint!

I bet the driver used to have a brew while waiting for Jam trucks...

That cliff looks amazing!

Wow!
Al, that fencing, and those hedges look simply stunning!
Fantastic work indeed!

You do real wonders with that basket liner

Good Lord! That IS jaw dropping!

Well, I've just speed-read this thread and you're doing an excellent, and much-to-be-admired job!
I started building something similar for my five year-old and it just grew into something bigger.
Only trouble is, he's 9 now and there still aren't any trains running, let alone scenery...
There's an impressive 4 track scratch-built viaduct, goods shed and station building though...
Keep up the excellent work. You're really putting me to shame
-
I've followed this over from Al's thread and I have to say, I'm going to be getting myself some hanging basket liner sometime soon - nice work mate!
-
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING WORK JAMIE!
-
Al, your rate of work is just amazing. I know there are gaps, but when you get a head of steam, well... wow!
-
Hymek2 - That is stunning - love the weathering work!
KNP - Jaw-Dropping excellence!
-
This is just brilliant Adrian.
I love Scalescenes kits. So much quicker than scratch building...
-
I meant more in terms of ripping up all the track and starting again - I'd certainly have a go with wheel pulling....

I really love watching you produce your buildings. You achieve so much in so little time too!
I've still got the shells of a row of cottages I was making 2 years ago...
