  1. Problem with a loco I purchased from Hatton's a couple of months back, email sent on a Sunday afternoon reply within 10 minutes. sent item back on Monday refund in bank by Thursday. first rate service from them from start to finish thanks to all at Hatton's that's what you call customer service.
  2. All the best for the trip Neil and for mrs H's surgery mike
  3. Hi Niel, no back across in the UK. Escaped to IOM near 6 years ago
  4. One thing I really do not miss having left the civil service is HR for some reason we still seemed to have this department despite been told that we had to do all our own hr online
  5. Baked potatoes you say, thats what I had at the royal show. very nice spud but the hardware could have been better. Fork melted and knife snaped in two, I think that hard bit in the spud was potato and not plastic knife. other than that a good day out
  6. Playing around with a spare decoder I fitted a LED light strip to a Dapol coach kit to see how it would work, with a view to fitting out better stock at a latter date. I made up contacts with copper clad strip and phosphor bronze strip, for the LED I used the following from Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-WHITE-SMD-FLEXI-STRIP-150mm-LONG-DC-DCC-NEW-/120864418248?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item1c2414a9c8 Project worked well I did add a thin coat of glue and glaze around the edge of the LED strip to enforce its sticking down and placed the decoder in the toilet compartment.
