  1. Good afternoon, your advice and input please. My small layout at present uses solenoid point motors I am thinking of changing to a slow motion type instead. So what do you use and how easy are they to install? I use Peco code 100 track and have a 3 way point at one location so can 2 slow action motors be fitted under such a point? Are they good for switching frog polarity? What type of power supply do you use with them? Thanks for any advice on this subject Mike
  2. You can get it off eBay or amazon without any problem
  3. Look for 360 grain Glysophate that's what I use on customers drives etc you can get it from a litre bottle upwards. It 3 times the strength of the stuff you get in the shops.

  7. Good evening, I am after a little advice . I am in the process of building a 12 x 8 garden shed/small workshop, walls, clading etc now done and am now working on roof. Due to a, working single handed and b, tight space to move martial in I decide to use 6 x 1 softwood treated boards laid lengthways for the roof with heavy duty felt over the top. Now dispite having the boards for a few weeks after fixing them down I have suffered some shrinking between boards, what I am wondering is should I fill the gaps before felting or leave them as they are allowing for any movement between boards. The felt will be nailed down only. thanks for reading above waffle and for any advice you may have. mike

  17. Evolution are bringing out a circular saw which is fitted with its all purpose blade that cuts both wood and metal, a few reviews are cropping up on utube prior to its release
  18. A lot of the low price units use a spinning blade which the waste is feed down through and you spend most of the time clearing jams. Better design is the cog type much less jamming with these. If you are looking for shredding large amounts them budget around £600.00 plus for electric or heck of a lot more for petrol. One of my customers has a elite electric unit which cost around £700.00 but is very good and performs almost as well as a £1500.00 bearcat model I use at times
