  1. A quick video filmed not by me at the crash sight! (sorry of this has been posted before)
  2. Hi Terry, Are you putting Overhead line in as well? Thanks...
  3. You could have a go at building an electrostar like James Makin, (he has 2 now!) You can buy resin cabs from him on eBay... So, 4veps coming to Glebe road then, will be great when done... Thinking about it a class 450 would be a straight forward conversion?
  4. This looks fantastic, may do a similar conversion myself in northern purple one day?
  5. I Wa thinking about doing third rail on the new layout but now I doubt it now! Had a rubbish idea, how about take a razor saw to the code 60 3rd rail track and cut the sleepers off right upto the rail, (and on the other side) and then you wouldn't have to slide them in the rail chairs, only easier option I can think of, see what I mean by rubbish idea! Anyway, do you have any 3rd rail stock?
  6. Very well done Terry, from what you said on your layout update it was a pain in the backside, it really does look fantastic though now finished! Don't think you will put London underground services in as that would mean 4th rail, that would be torture!! Thanks, Tom
  7. Thanks very much Phil! The video has made me really look forward to building mine... Thanks, Tom P.S You must be the opposite of pitbull1845 (Scott) going from 90s rail freight to freightliner! Lol!
  8. Looking good Terry, finally found the thread, will be following with interest!
  9. I used an iPhone for the cab cam which was a pain in barckside! Ended up masking taping it to a container lol
  10. Wells green tmd still looks great! Favourite pictures have to be 90030 and 4774 and the pic of 47712. The night shots look the business! The BRM article was very good... Tom
  11. This may be the same mk.2 brake coach I'm not sure, look a simple conversion. Bachmann 57/3 (change coupling) Hornby/Lima/airfix coach standard Brake coach Thanks, Tom
  12. Please dont back date the layout! A few of my favourite layouts are backdating and for me I don't like it as much, anyway. The videos you produce are great, please stay Modern image!!!
  13. You never know, you could pick up a broken power car at a model shop and convert it?
  14. This is a trully fantastic layout, I hope to see it at an exhibition this year!
  15. Another random picture, This sorry HST at Laira... http://www.flickr.com/photos/resilient741/7957980728/ Thanks
  16. Have to agree! It dosent look too brilliant, thankfully it's just a mock up on a website, I don't think the FGW suits the 50 and if it's applied in real life I think it should be classed as vandalism! Note the pink nameplate on the side. (I guess named Barbie lol)
  17. Shame I really wanted to see it up north! Just posted a few links of an FGW 50! Posted a second link, you have to scroll down a bit on the link
  18. Another candidate that goes with the FGW theme for the class 50... Found this on the railwaycentre.com **Scroll down to March 7th Picture of the day** http://www.therailwaycentre.com/Picture%20of%20the%20Day%20index/Old_POD_March2007.html Thanks
  19. Hi Jo, Are you still un sure about what to colours to paint your 50? I would Reccomend large logo as defience, BR blue as Exeter, that green livery on 50007 (don't know what it is) and my favourite Load Haul. The lining on 50007 may drive you crazy and same with NSE, lot of masking on a little model! Is your fantastic layout appearing at any shows this year as I would love to see it? Are you at showcase this year? Thanks, Tom
  20. Hi Jo! Are you still keeping the FGW theeme or are you doing it in the 90s? Thanks,
  21. This looks like a great layout! It's a shame to see that some moron had ruined that Chiltern unit! I think 'artist' is taking the mick a bit! Virgin, when there pendolinos get graffitied they seem to scrub it of emedietly do as people don't get the impression that they can easily do it. Saw penny the pendolino looking like it had been attacked quite badly and had had it scrubbed off. I admit there are some quite funny ones as big Jim said... Spotted a FCC unit with full length graffiti on every car, and it was an 8 car set! And anglia is just as bad, went to see relatives and went on the train for part of the journey and every train I went on had either been tagged or badly graffitied, Shame really
  22. Great Pictures, The 60 looks really good in DB livery
