A bit of duff info going on here.
So let me put the facts down as the head of Ops for the C&PRRA.
We have a very unique agreement between the ORR, NR (Ops and Signalling) and Chiltern that allow us to use the Thame Branch siding (which was retained for turnback purposes and to access the south sidings) while we set ourselves up in Risborough ie Plat 4 and then start relaying the derelict Chinnor branch that runs parallel to the Thame branch siding. It was a long process but the will and determination between all parties to get us into risborough paid off resulting us being able to run into PR.
Before we run into Risborough on an operating day, we have a PIC who will liaise with Marylebone signallers to reverse the points on the thame branch into the south sidings. Our PIC then goes out and clips and scotches the point (providing Marylebone don't need the siding). one the point is secure, MYB cant signal a train into the Thame branch whilst we're using it. If NR need it back, they decline us use of the thame branch or, they phone our PIC up giving us notice when and how quick they need it back, we then have to either stay on our site at Risborough or vacate the thame branch siding pronto. MYB signal us in and out of Plat 4 by means of shunt signals. NONE of out drivers have passed any of these at red.
part of the conditions of our lease is that we have to share the south sidings with the national network thus, we have to keep the line through our platform clear and some siding space free.
A run round loop at PR will be finished within the next 2 months.
The wheels are now in motion to start rebuilding the chinnor branch
