if you throw the throttle right round, it triggers the wheel slip and it wont accelerate whilst simulated wheel slip occurs. Ease up on the throttle a tad and it wont trigger the slip. Cheers Jamie

Class 37, by Accurascale
gooderz replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
When a loco starts, its alternator or generator sucks all the juice from the batteries to turn the engine over -
The Class 20 file was recorded from a poorly class 20 that had governor issues thus wasnt loading up right and had weak horns. I replicate on the file how the loco I recorded behaved and sounded. Any of my files can have active brakes if requested.

Hi All As it currently stands, my sounds are predominantly available via Richard Croft (Roads and Rails) but Digitrains do indeed sell my sounds under the Engineman banner. If you want smoke in your locos, TRS Trains also sell my files set up for smoke. Difference between the Engineman range and Files via Richard/ Roads and Rails is that the Engineman sound files are engineered slightly more to provide a brake function whereas R&R sell what Chinnor Railway used to sell which was a sound file aimed at those who wanted a realistic file and operation without the need to press a button to slow it down. My sounds will eventually be available via my own page once supply issues are resolved. Accurascale have indeed snapped me up to produce sound files for all of their future sound fitted locos, but that doesn't mean I have stopped creating my own files. Admittedly, I have slowed down with file production but that was due to Covid restrictions and baby twins arriving soon after. A VP185 HST is next to be produced.... Cheers Jamie

you can easily make your own decent stay alive for less than a fiver. Mouser is the best place to start

Esu v5 L with esu smoke unit. I'm actually trying to sell this 61xx. A fair amount of wiring and surgery wad needed

Looks a good model, but I can't say it beats the Bachmann 9Fs enough for me to want to shell out on its silly price and add 9F no.5 to my collection
-
I used one of Richard Croft's round megabass speakers

Buying a Hattons 66 and putting a TTS sound decoder in it is like buying a Bentley and putting a 1970s Skoda engine in it
-
Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway do an authentic 45xx prairie tank esu v5 and can supply all esu decoders

Hi all I've got a Heljan turntable and naturally, it has a dead spot which then cuts the sound out on the loco momentarily. Has anyone worked out a way to modify it to add a capacitor or two to the turntable in order to supply enough power to the table rails to keep the sound switched on? Cheers Jamie

Soundfile by myself available via the Chinnor Railway

Latest steam project in WIP stage - a rebuilt Bulleid pacific.

Sorry for the late reply, not been on for some time. It is automatic depending on the speed. However, I do have an advanced option where you have to change gear in order for it to accelerate. Richard Croft has done a few videos on my 121 file in action.

Just like to try and gauge interest. I've recently set up one of my Class 37 and 25 sound files to sync with an ESU smoke unit. serious time was spent to ensure the end result was of good quality and synchronisation. What is the interest within the community/market for synchronised smoke with dcc sound in O gauge? Would it be worth setting up (re-engineering) further sound files including diesel? Example the customer sent me to upload on my Youtube.

Rather than keep resurrecting my old 'New DCC sounds, coming soon' thread to show case my latest projects, I thought best to start a new thread. So, latest one to be completed is a Class 121 DMU. Sound project is set up for the Dapol DMU.

I'll just drop this in here. All recordings taken from 33207 with 400t trailing load.

Got both of my cranes today. What a fantastic model it is and the detail is on another level. Took a while to arrive from announcement, but good things come to those who wait... Top marks Bachmann. Now, the challenge begins motorising them....

Hoping to get a video sorted in the next few weeks

Brand new Class 66 that I have developed. Significantly improved compared to my previous 66 file i did. A small taster video below illustrating start up, idle, change ends, horns and pull away. More detailed video to come.
