  1. Yh its on Loksound. Louder exhaust is triggered by how you drive it. drive it harshly or accelerate a fair bit and you'll get the thrash/louder exhaust.
  2. More Steam from me - a GWR Manor
  3. Latest one that i have finished - a GWR Manor (fitted in a Grange for demo purposes)
  4. odd question here Has anyone stripped their loco down to the last screw as i will fit mine with sound but can seem to find a way to strip it apart to get the weight out of the tanks to mill a slot out of it to put the sound chip in it as a miro loksound wont fit in the bunker or cab without being visually obtrusive.
  5. Got mine delivered from Collets models yesterday and after reading some posts on here, i was worrying what my 1369 would turn out to be like. Unboxed it to find it had no paint defects or any other issues. ran ok on a 9V battery. very weighty for a small model. build quality seems ok The detail is spot on and just like the real 1369, the only things that has let it down is the black coupling rods. Overall, i'm satisfied with it and happy i have a model of the loco i passed my firing exam on. Now, time to finish my 1369 DCC sound project to fit into my model
  6. Today was my last firing turn on 1369, thought a picture was appropriate!
  7. Rather disappointed that they have supplied them with black coupling rods. nevertheless, i'm still looking forward to getting 1369.
  8. I'll try and get it in the post saturday for you depending on how much of a good time i have at my work xmas party tonigh. if not, it should be with you Tuesday as it'll go first class Monday.
  9. models are being distributed in the next few days
  10. Was fortunate enough to have a good look at Heljans 1366 class, 1369 in particular. the level of fine detail is absolutely top notch and has really good weight to it. i can see this being a bit of a pig to fit with DCC sound. Only major gripe in my view is the coupling rods etc are black when they should be silvery metal colour and it was confirmed that they are all like this.
  11. The small box above the front driving wheel is the front left sanbox, which should match the colour of the livery along with the toolbox. The bell on the 1366 class is located above the fireman side injector
  12. Hi Rob I've just about polished off and completely revamped dual braked 08 with completey new recordings that is far duperior to both of my previous 08 projects as its got the following: Crisper, deeper engine sounds all other sounds are also crisper more functions including drivehold function and working exhuasters independent traction motor sounds that are speed dependant as opposed to throttle position Working on a new vac only 08 sound project over xmas to match the dual braked 08 version. Jamie
  13. Hi Rob Thanks for the kind words. Both a 31 and 47 are on the cards over the next 12 months along with a new class 50. Jamie
  14. another 3 complete from me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYUvARZzjEc
  15. just got an email from hattons now saying arrival is between December and January. Another set back. bit of a micky take now
  16. A small video of the initial test run of my BR 7mt chip that im working on. very much WIP still. Tested on the High Wycombe Model Railway club test track
  17. Cheers for the pointer. Just had a look. it looks pretty smack on the mark apart from black coupling rods.
  18. Hi I can confirm its the rolling road. for some reason, the Hall in particular, hates my rolling roads when it picks up speed. I believe i put it in the subtitles explaining. My pannier also dislikes it them too. I'd be very worried if the decoder was like that Sadly, i dont have a layout to show off my chips so I have to put up with those wretched rolling roads
  19. I'm not 'homing in' on them because i want the 1366 pannier (passed my firing exam on 1369). I have, over the past year and a bit, tried asking them via email and facebook for updates (not regularly) and dont get an answer at all. Either way, im happy to sit patiently for it to arrive. from what i've seen, they have got the model, so far, bang on the money.
  20. The only thing Heljan are diabolical in is product updates - which is all i stated. I've got a model on pre-order so it'd be nice to know how it is getting on in the same manner Hornby do with the Engine Shed
  21. I've not heard anything for months. diabolical from Heljan to be honest wit the lack of updates. Hornby and DJ models and hattons are putting them to shame with respect to product updates
  22. TTS is a cheap sound decoder that offers the basics of a sound chip and locomotive control. TTS, to my knowledge, can only play 2 sounds at one. one sound being your engine and the other being a whistle or horn etc where as the 'full fat' top decoders from Zimo and ESU can play 4 sounds at once. The TTS doesn't offer the high quality in sounds, functionality and control that you get from chips supplied by Legomanbiffo, Digitrains or Chinnor railway.
  23. Mark (81b), Hopefully this is enough thrash for you! Vast majority of this chip is with your old man on the handle. I put it round High Wycombe model railway club's test track and everyone, including your dad, loved it! Jamie
  24. Hi Mark The recordings that I took with your dad driving sound top notch. Thats why I like to put a big fire in for him, guaranteed thrash. The loco was heard over 2 miles away on 4 out of the 5 trips! I'll send you a snippet of the recording. I'll let your dad know when its done, I'll bring it down for you both to play with. Jamie
  25. Hi kbroono I've sent you a PM I also have further sound projects now on my channel such as: 37/0 8F 50 I've also done a different variant of class 08 and redone the 1366 class pannier. Cheers Jamie
