  5. I think it was Peter himself, Saying that if he can't match the speed he may need to go down the DCC line. I think it is a very sensable discussion. The only thing is there can only be one answer. Think the easter bunny needs to bring you a DCC set Peter. Gary in Tassie.
  6. Depends what you call Cheap, Seen some full sets for $199 on ebay for the multimaus set!!!! Need to get it on your birthday list Pete. If you want to try it, I could loan you a Lenz set would just need a transformer. Gary
  7. What about a large logo 56 with sound on the test train from Crewe???? I have a few locos but not sure what to put sound in next. Any suggestions SRMAN? 25,26,37,40,47,86 or a class 150? Gary in Tas.
  8. HI Peter, Might sound cheeper, But if you excuse the pun does not Sound as nice as a 33 and 37 thrashing its was out of LLanbourne with full sound!!!! Need to look on Ebay Australia to find a cheap unit to get you started. Gary in Tas!

  12. Hi all, My model of 47406 arrived in quick time from Guagemster, The cost was good as they knocked the Vat of resulting in the engine costing less than if I was in the UK with postage included. It's a superb model, I have put a chip in it but going to upgrade to sound chip at first available chance. Need to get some work done on the layout now. Gary in Tas
  13. HI, Just had confirmation that my 47406 is on its way to Australia, Hope it doesn't get to many signal checks en-route!!!! Just need to save up now for a sound chip, Got a 21 pin chip ready to go, to at least get some use out of it til the sound chip arrives. Gary in Tassie.
