Hatton's don't have a shop either these days. Not that Smithdown Rd is exactly a prime retail location.
Yes, they do, in Widnes....
-
That is good news, as long as Bachmann ensures that the etched plate fits completely over the top of the printed nameplate. I've had a couple of locos where it doesn't - e.g. Class 43 842 Royal Oak - and it's a pain having to remove it.
Saltburn-by-the-Sea looks like it might have that problem as well.
-
Well I've found an error in the first section I looked at .....

Trying to be something it isn't:
At least the description is fair, but why, just why?

I once read that the best way to avoid
knobspeople is to drive on the grass verge.......Keep death off the roads...drive on the pavement....

Does anyone know how far along Kernow are with this? It's gone a bit quiet.
Cheers,
CoY
Don't know, but must cancel mine, as have acquired a decent kit built one for £50

And will continue to do so for a long time, I reckon!
I sold a very similar one on ebay about 18 months ago. Got just over £30 and was reasonably happy with that.

Does anyone know if there are any model railway shows - or club open days - in the Newport area in the next few months?
Think there's an O gauge thing called NEWGOG in Newport 16th April. A friend from the Midlands has suggesting meeting there. Haven't checked details yet.

??????
I've got seven Heljan diesels; they're all good reliable, powerful and quiet locos.
Agree, I've got approaching 30 Heljan diesels. Apart from the well documented, now ancient, Clayton chassis replacement issues (which was swiftly replaced by the supplier), the rest are prodigious haulers, smooth, quiet, from very slow to fast. Even the 05 shunter will pull approaching 40 wagons.

The advert says this is in 'excellent boxed condition' - in that case I'm just popping up to Specsavers as there is clearly something wrong with my eyesight!
Completely mazaked, I think

Can anyone tell me what this bird is please? Someone suggested a dunnock but to me it's more likely a garden warbler. It has a beautiful song.
Dunnock. 100% Garden warbers are incredibly plain, dull featureless creatures, that skulk in woodlands/ brambles.

If only I needed a class 20...
Or a shed full of 03s......
-
Even if there's a decimal error that's very ambitious

They're very friendly in person too! With a very nice tidy shop in Portishead.
Very odd area to find something like it, though. Down new, narrow roads between modern houses to find just it and a Post Office, I seem to remember.

Ours are now due Monday Nigel, after spending a lot of today on the phone trying to find out where they were. HTH
Typical, will be in Coleford tomorrow for the only time for some while
-
Well, what happens if you don't win the "optional tender"? Apart from any tiny inaccuracies in the description.......
-
There's probably more profit in class 60's than doing a class 71!
Still a drop in the ocean.....major restructuring would seem to be the only way forward.
-
Just think of all the class 60 liveries there have been, Hornby could have cashed in on this opportunity , a boxed set of BS blue 60006/60033 or in Corus silver, then make a HTV coal hopper in bauxite , they've done a tope wagon which is just a cut down version , would have a best seller in my opinion, not churn out this same old grey ones! What about the new coke wagons, two versions only ?, why not do the third version ? All steel sides/ ends again surely would sell well. There's opportunitys to make money here by making what the modeller wants not what you think they want ! There is a vast difference and that shows today with the possibility of the company failing
Don't think there's £9 million of business in that lot though...unless you know some VERY keen Class 60 fans......there's something very wrong elsewhere.

A most attractive little engine, and beautifully turned out.

Ooops! That's let the cat out of the bag! Sadly, the Colas one is the wrong colour. It should be Pepsi blue and its been done in Coke red! (CJL)
Either would be pop-ular (well you started it!)
