  1. That says it all Dick. Jocks attitude and fortitude is a lesson to us all. I'm almost at a loss for words. My thoughts are with Jock, Joanna and the family tonight.
  2. A pity you were not here today. The LUAS drivers are on strike. You would have had the freedom of the whole system. If you're planning to be near Dublin send me a PM.
  3. 37 here and I can't say I'm surprised. Carry on!
  4. Goodnight John Boy ; )
  5. Thanks for the support guys. A sad day but onwards and upwards.
  6. I was looking forward to a day off after Paddy's Day but ended up at the funeral of the daughter of a good friend. We caught up for a few beers to send her off later. Oiche Maith.
  7. And more than a few pints of Guinness raised (and downed) here. Live Long and Prosper.
  8. Good to hear from Jock and Debs. Best wishes to you both. Sunrise in Fingal* at 7:22 Sunset at 17:51 * current location about 10 miles north of Dublin City centre.
  9. Merry Christmas to one and all.
  10. Lol. As a printer we would usually mention any obvious problems to the customer. But sometimes it's much more fun to let things go their course. Payback to those dodgy designers who have all the artistic flair and qualifications, but can't see the wood for the trees.
  11. Woke up this morning to a heavy overnight snowfall. Then off to Dundalk for some shopping. After the first couple of miles there wasn't even a hint of snow in the fields. Couple of miles further on and completely dry roads. Spooky. Enjoy the rest of the evening. Xxx
  12. We're having lots of rain here. The wind seems to blow for an hour then calm again. Very strange. Lots of breakers on the beach too. Have a good day all.
  13. Also in Ireland was Listowel, where the broad gauge met the L&B steam monorail. The Cavan & Leitrim narrow gauge connected at 2 stations, Dromod and Belturbet. Derry City had 4 termini, 2 of each gauge, connected by a mixed gauge bridge over the river
  14. Exceptionally brilliant. Well done (that's how I like mine) : )
  15. And Johnny Marr. (Added to the above post but not to replace anyone mentioned.) Edited for silly grammatical errors.
  16. Thinking of you Simon. Fingers crossed.
  17. Yes it's blowing hard on the east coast. Plenty of loose trees and silly drivers. Hopefully things calm down overnight.
  18. Great news Dave. Best wishes to yourself and Is. Happy birthday Ian. The weather here is windy but not too wet. We seem to be missing the worst effects of Abigail. Enjoy the evening. 108
  19. Fantastic. I can see Jim clip clopping around the east end.
  20. Hi John It's been a mostly foggy day here in Monaghan. Heading home shortly so hopefully it'll be better there. Sorry to hear your news Mal. Things are tricky enough for you at the moment. Best wishes to the happily welded couple.
  21. I've seen Talon too. We all thought they were excellent. Edited to remove triplicate quotation.
  22. I'll agree with that. Im touring the west coast this week. Yesterday the weather was spectacular around Westport and Leenaune. Currently enjoying the delights of Galway City. Enjoy the evening.
  23. [quote name="New Haven Neil" post="2012203" timestamp="1441649443 (Can't do a squiggle above the a, sorry) : hi Neil ALT + 0241 if you're on a PC should get you a squiggly n.
  24. Just had a very quick catch up. Best wishes to Jock and the family. Great to see Tex and Dave back too.
