Morning Mike. Have you got more than one point kit? If so, is it just that one that has warped?
Regards.

I agree (although you've missed out the OCA) a Medfit could also be a good contender for being the last wagon in the train.
As regards the date, there is another photo in the series which I have posted elsewhere in the "you wouldn't get away with it at an exhibition" thread (or something like that) which is of the Northbound freight train departing the station over track with some very newly laid ballast which makes me think that the Engineers train that we are discussing might have been involved with the reconstruction of the Oban and Fort William junctions layout (possibly 1986/7ish ??)
I won't repost that photo here as I'm rather conscious that we are drifting away from Paul's layout subject.
Oops! Short term memory loss is getting worse! How on earth did I forget the OCA in the 30 seconds from looking at the photo to typing the post. I must have repeated SPA, SPA, OBA, OCA, Turbot, Grampus at least 5 times whilst scrolling down to reply.
Agree, let’s get back to Paul’s layout subject!
Cheers.

Thanks Ian. it was the fourth photo i was referring to. Im not so good with freight wagons. I'm guessing it's two SPAs, an OBA, the OCA, a Rudd? and a grampus.
Looking at the photo, I reckon 2x SPA, OBA, Turbot and last wagon possibly a Grampus.
Cheers.

Hi Mike.
Have you contacted Wayne directly about your warping issue?

Hi @Accurascale Fran Great to hear they are on the way now!! The anticipation is really building now! Any word on when the sound chips will be available for those of us who ordered DCC ready models but now want to upgrade them to sound fitted?
Cheers.

Looking great Rob. The rock faces look particularly effective.

Hi Gareth.
Are the 3D printed wheel chocks still available as well?

Just want to say a massive thanks to everyone involved with putting on a fantastic 3 day show. Well worth a weekend spent staying in Glasgow.
Great selection of layouts to spend time watching trains go by. The show is always an opportunity to catch up with people I probably only see once or twice a year so being there for a couple days meant there was no rush to get round the whole show in single day before having to head back down south.
Also managed to visit the Riverside museum this year and can throughly recommend it!
Looking forward to Model Rail Scotland 2024!Cheers.

Thanks @Accurascale Fran brings back happy memories from when we used help a trader and stay at the Premier Inn on the other side of the Clyde and walk over Bells Bridge to the SEC. Looking forward to catching up with you and the rest of the Accurascale team on Saturday. Is Gareth over as well?

Hi @Accurascale Fran on the website the CK (sc7551) is listed as a SK. The artwork shows the model as a CK

Great news @Accurascale Fran that has just answered a load of questions lined up for when I see you at Glasgow on Saturday! Whilst the MK2c range was not a massive surprise, it is much welcomed (although my wallet won’t agree with you)
The MK2c announcement leaves just 1 gap in the MK2 coaches which is the D&E’s. The MK2d’s would be perfect to go with the Deltics. At the moment all we have is the Airfix / Dapol / Hornby one which need lots of errors correcting before looking anything like a decent coach.
No doubt you will announce these just as I finish my MK2d Scottish push-pull rake!!Cheers.

I’m amazed no one has worked out what it is yet from the small amount of print just showing from under the Guinness mug!!

I did this tour a couple of times some years ago. Found it fascinating. Well recommended for anyone with an interest in industrial railways, heavy industry and or the steel making process.
A grand day out!!- 1

Class 37/0 37075 stabled at Haworth loco sheds on the KWVR yesterday (04/02/23).
Keeping the 37 company are Class 144 'Pacer' 144011 and L&YR Class 25 0-6-0 52044, whose chimney is just visible between the two.
That 37 has got an odd exhaust port mounted on the nose. I wonder if Accurascale or Bachman have tooled that variation?!?

Am I right in thinking there was only 5 TSO and 1 FK MK2a coaches repainted into ScotRail livery? All of which would be disc brake fitted as they originally part of the class 27 push-pull rakes?
Regards.

Bit annoyed with Bachmann releasing the double Mk2 TSO coach pack in BR Scotrail. I’ve had the Mk2 TSO and FK in Scotrail on pre-order for 4 years now. If Bachmann can produce the double pack now, could it not produce the previously announced ones too!?
In the same boat as you, been waiting 4 years for the previously announced FK & TSO. I’m trying to be positive in thinking the FK and TSO must finally be imminent with the announcement of a TSO twin pack. On the bright side, I won’t have to renumber any of the TSO ‘s (as long as they don’t duplicate a running number in the twin pack with the single coach)
the release of the twin pack will also make completing another rake of coaches easier and add some variety into the Aberdeen - Glasgow push pull set.
Cheers.

Stunning photos Dave. I had to look twice to make sure it was the layout and not a real location!! What do you use for taking the photos.
always enjoy your updates, very inspirational!Cheers.

I’ve used the Screwfix trestles to support 2’ wide baseboards. Yes, they are slightly wider than the boards but all helps with stability. As said above, sturdy, almost fold flat and height adjustable.
Only downside to the trestles is they are noisy when being transported in the back of a car / van. Little tip is wrap the chains that the attach the pins to the frame in a piece of bubble wrap (or a sock, preferably a clean one!)
hope that helps.

OTA’s are slow to load!
I put in some polythene so I don’t glue it to the wagon then added some stiff wires into the second row to lock it all together so it lifts out as one.
one layer at a time with a log dipped then laid to the outside so the glue doesn’t spill out too much.
only two more to go . . . 🤪
Hi. The loads look great. What “wood” are you using to create the load?
Cheers.

I’ll drop you a PM. Don’t want to derail Rob’s excellent thread
