And just when you thought it was safe to switch your TV on - she's bloody back again !!

I'm not sure about Citroen auto boxes, but when the Borg Warner auto box - as fitted to most British made cars at one time - used to slip through the gears the bands could be adjusted from the outside of the gearbox casing using a special Churchill adjuster tool. The Churchill part number is CBW 2B This also might help. https://www.google.com/search?q=churchill+tools+for+borg+warner+auto+gear+bo

Wise words on windows wanted ...

For the most comprehensive range of everything brass etched including a mind boggling assortment of windows and doors in all scales no other manufacturer even comes close to Scalelink on 01747 811817. Cheers. Allan. -

Got both right here ready to plant, Simon that should more than satisfy the urge !!! Cheers. Allan. -
I think Hollywood really went into overdrive when they came up with this take on what they imagined what female gunfighters of the old Wild West must have looked like !

Just stumbled across this. Another one of Hollywood's misinformed ideas of what Calamity Jane looked like by way of Jayne Russel.

Ballast, ballast, ballast

The Hobby Shop as advertised in this thread. Does anybody know if it's the reopening and renaming of the ' Hobby Box' that closed down some while ago ? Cheers. Allan. -
Ballast, ballast, ballast

Hi Virago. I recently ballasted a 6ft 6" x 3" O Gauge layout using just short of a full bottle of Woodland Scenics ballast as seen above. I've took the liberty to put up a few pictures of the ballasted track which illustrate just how far a bottle of ballast will go. Hope it helps. Cheers. Allan. -

For exhibition purposes the 9ft back boards could be left at home and much shorter boards used for exhibitions only. Just an idea. Cheers. Allan. -

I learnt to drive in a lorry. This was in 1951 in a Fordson removals lorry, petrol engine that needed a hefty swing to get it to start and haven't ever seen one since. It was old then so christ knows what year it was built. Any pics/ideas guys ?

Most British car designers never gave thought to car owners wanting to have sudden and urgent sex on the back seat but the determined could always manage it by opening the back windows as a means of accommodating madams legs ! Well it worked in a Ford 8 anyway...

The real Calamity Jane. I'd say that casting Doris Day as her in the movie was a little over the top to say the least !

That is one beautiful car Horsetan and a credit to you Sir. Superb example of French advanced engineering in its day and not a lot can match it even today.

Show us your scratchbuilt building

That's really looking good Brylon and very typical of space starved situations where space was at a premium and where the most unlikely structures rubbed shoulders together. Very real situation. Very convincing. Superbly executed. Stunning model making - as usual. Cheers. Allan. -
Jeremy Wade. Still the best TV Presenter ever. Currently watching re-runs of River Monsters on Netflix. Just can't get enough of this guy who's been shot at in the Congo, accused of spying elsewhere, threatened to be stoned to death by some unhappy fisherman way up the Amazon and plunged into a pool brimming with Piranha just to make a point that not not all accused man eaters deserve their reputation. They just don't get better than this guy by a long chalk.
