  1. Tony, don’t want to lower the tone of this thread but with the amount of Viagra I supplied today I’m not sure how much modelling is going to get done. Keep well and be sensible Robert
  2. It may also explain the national shortage of paracetamol. (Not tonight dear, I’ve got a headache) regards
  3. I’m not sure all that modelling is going to get done. Not with the amount of Viagra going out of my pharmacy!
  4. I’m having to come out of isolation (semi-retirement) and return to work as I’m a pharmacist! But I hope you all manage to get some worthwhile modelling done, after of course doing the household chores. Keep well and be sensible. regards Robert
  5. Thanks, when I got it it was refurbished before being fitted. I don’t know how long it will last so would be grateful for further information. regards Robert
  6. Been to work and done a bit of shopping and seen a couple of classics, an A35 closely followed by a MGB. Both seemed to be in good condition and the roof down on the MG. Later in the day I saw a 2CV and a Mk 2 golf but neither of them appeared to be in good condition. Nothing else to report. regards Robert
  7. Regarding the J39 tender, I think this is the kit Tony mentions. If you look at the third of Tony’s pictures, the tender chassis is noticeably longer than the tank but I think the kit has exaggerated this. It was a nice kit to do and didn’t take long either. I think it was completed within a day. Regards Robert
  8. Yes that’s the style of a NI plate (like my lotus from a few posts back) but the Austin 1300 has a British type plate so more likely to be mainland. What about the mineral wagon, was that design used in NI?
  9. Was thinking of coming up that way with caravan, we often stay in Leyburn. If we come better make sure we’re fully stocked up. Regards Robert
  10. Panic buying over? Shelves full, money run out?
  11. As medication delivery is not an NHS service and is therefore not funded it cannot be ‘demanded’. As I said the delivery man has been in contact with many people and he has to get a signature in all cases. It would be safer for a friend or relative to collect the items. Keep safe, Robert
  12. Be careful regarding the delivery. The delivery man will have been to a lot of people before he gets to you. Some may be self isolating because they do have symptoms. Delivery men, as well as the pharmacy team are not immune. It’s like Christamas in pharmacy land as well and there are only so many delivery slots available. keep well and be sensible. Regards Robert(MRPharms)
  13. All this reminds me of Monty Pyhons Flying Circus and the Spam wonderful Spam sketch. Spam and chips spam egg and chips chips and Spam egg chips and spam etc etc etc keep safe and be sensible Robert
  14. I’ve been out and bought six cans of dog food and I don’t even have a dog! regards Robert
  15. I almost gave up on kits as as soon as I bought one a rtr would be announced. A1,O4,J11,L1 and D11. I sold some of them off as I knew I wouldn’t be able to paint/line them to the standard required but was happy with the finish of my J11. I’ve still got an N5, C13, J6 and exGC fish engine to tackle most of which are unlikely to be made rtr. As Tony says, keep well and be sensible, regards Robert
  16. In the first two pictures of Trowbridge the back scene looks to blend in really well. I think it’s the colours that match well. regards Robert
  17. Just been out to supermarket to do a bit of panic buying, six bottles of cider and TWO magazines. Mrs H not happy at two mags. Wonder if she thinks I’m going to catch virus and pop my clogs before I’ve managed to read them, anyway I’ve left the receipt out just in case she needs it for a refund. keep well everyone, Robert
  18. Looking very good Grahame, did a bit of paperwork this afternoon (after our conversation) and even managed half an hours modelling. Keep up the excellent work. Robert
  19. The way things are going it might be your last chance for a while! enjoy your morning, regards Robert
  20. Thanks but like the rest of the car there are bits I’m not that happy about. Sometimes I think I’m too picky and should be grateful for what I’ve got, after all it’s over 50 years old! Im over 50 and I’m not happy with some of my bits either!!
  21. Both sound equally good to me! regards Robert
  22. Thanks for info. The chap I take it to is usually very thorough and I’ve got to know him quite well. I’m wary of the chassis as it is quite old so it does get a good look at. Its not had too much work done on it since I bought it. There are lots of little blemishes in the paint work but not bad enough to do a respray on. There’s no issues with ‘crazing’ . It’s one of the first +2 and some of the parts are not as easy to source as later versions. When I bought it some parts were missing and I didn’t realise until I got it home. And of course they were the hard to get type. The plastic section over the drive tunnel is cracked and I’d like to replace it but it’s not available as is was only fitted to the first series. When I bought the car it had the wrong brake servo and in took ages to find a correct one. I believe it was only fitted to the lotus and BMC landcrab. Regards Robert
  23. Thanks. Like most things in life, when you look closely there’s imperfections. But if it were concours class I wouldn’t dare take it out! regards Robert
