Sid Watkins biography is a very good read. He did a lot behind the scenes with regards to safety. Frank Williams amongst others owed him their life and careers.

Out of all the crashes Barrichello's looked the worst. I'm sort of glad F1 isn't at Imola this weekend.

I'm not sure Barrichello was racing following his pirouette along the catch fence. I seem to remember a start incident with JJLehto and wheels into the crowd. I think there was a pit incident as well which brought in the speed limit.

So some DIY has put a stop to progress. But I have managed to do something. I bought a battered Scenecraft Highley box for its chimney. It so distinctive and it was easier than making one. I have struggled with the yellow brick painting and this is my best effort. I'm still not happy with it.

I also took the plunge and 4321 arrived earlier today. Looks the part and runs a dream on my rolling road. Not a hint of wobble.

Not a bad race. Ricardo and Sargent need to go. Not doing the teams any favours. Ferrari have dropped the wrong driver. Albons chassis on the way to Grove for repair. Williams won't have a new one until Miami at the earliest.
