Thanks for your reply, i thought the latest ESU V4 decoders would be compatible, the dcc fitted version have DCC 27s fitted i think.

Could someone confirm are the factory fitted decoders fitted in the 68s RailCom compatible.

I found that cleaning inside the bogie only lasts a couple of mths, so i added extra pickups to the wheels, this cures completely and locos run very smoothly, ive done 6 so far.

Many thanks, done as you described and a vast difference in running on both locos. The bogie housings were dripping with oil/melted grease. Both locos had not been lubricated since being taken out of boxes.

I have a sound fitted 73 which constantly stops and starts, clean track and wheels, has anyone had pick up problems ?

I totally agree with every word, having had one of these models in my hand and had a good look at it, for £140 what do some people want. This thread is a total waste of time.
