It depends what material you use and how good the designer is, also you get the satisfaction of having designed it and customized it and if you get it printed as a kit then building it as well.

So you can print without any ridge lines that need filling or sanding down?

If you are meaning on a curve, then if you put enough sides on then there won't be ridges (or only very slight ridges at that)

If the layout can count as a workbench then I have all too many things on the go, 3 is an insignificant amount!
