Evening Just finished the guy wires, really pleased how it looks now, need to finish the fencing around the concrete blocks , add some trees and bushes and a couple of small buildings

Evening all. despite the lack of updates I have done quite a lot recently Finished the 3 houses, small little jobs left like the gardens and fences, lights are fitted but not connected yet. Second big job was to make my own impression of Sandy heath radio transmitter using brass. not scaled otherwise it wouldn't fit but it looks alright [/url] As people might be aware I can see the radio transmitter from my study and like in real it's a massive thing Like the real thing it has got the 5 red lights you can see from miles and miles away

Happy Friday all, productive few days and really like this kind of work down to the fact that you can result within minutes. Used the air brush first to create shadows around the rocks and to high lite the foot pads. Once this is dry the fun started, static grass. The trick with static grass is firstly a proper unit, I am using the flock it unit bought from the green scene, secondly take your time. I normally leave it overnight to dry before I am going to hover all the excess. on the picture you can see the difference between the work I did yesterday and today next step is a second layer with 2 mm grass in a darker colour around the edges before I can start adding bushes and trees. Thank you all for the kind words. Although I am aware I haven't done an update here ( yes I know I have done lots on face book ), quite a few jobs are done and pending. Main current Job is to cover helix number 5, from all the most ackward one to do, down to the fact it's difficult to get there, second, it's much higher than the surrounding parts of the layout. Walking the dog a while ago around Sandy radio tower I thought that was the solution for this part as it's grass land and a quarry. not that I am going to build a quarry ( ermmm yes I am going toactually but not on Hills and Meadows, ) it justifies some rocks . so below in the pictures the progress sofar. first trial Rocks are made from plaster of Parish and painted , I have looked a lot of youtube videos so it's basically following what these guys are doing Once dried and painted I have used sculptamold to cover the lower area's first time I have used this product and think it's great. Takes a while to dry and once dry I have painted everything with creap brown paint, air brushed the surroundings around the rocks. Started with static grass today which will continue over the next couple of days. The 4 houses you can see in the first picture are almost done and will start on the Radio tower hopefully after the =Canterbury show.

Done some details over the last couple of days, AWS ramps now placed at the correct distance of a signal Axel counters are apparently normally placed in pairs so I had to add a few also did a good few hours last night without any major issues, so had an opportunity to shoot some video's, just click on the picture.

Evening all, last canopies finished and all connected, really pleased that I changed my original plan as this looks so much better. tomorrow night will be a bit exciting as I haven't tested yet if there's enough clearance for all trains

Happy Sunday all. despite the snow here read playing outside with the kids I have managed to do a bit more. was looking at some pictures yesterday of Harlow station and decided that it would look better if I had on boh sides of the bridge canopies, and with number 1 finished it looks indeed much better. so hopefully I can find some time to get the others done.

Happy Saturday all, Have had 2 air brush sessions this week to paints track/ ballast and another night for cleaning the tracks so was quit busy and a mesh. but did a good running session last night almost 1200 kilometers in a couple of hours without any major failures so pleased. spend today on the first of four canopies, as mentioned station is build with Harlow in mind which I have adapted to my own liking. 3 more to go best regards, Maurits

Evening, for one reason my whole story with an update on the footbridge went wrong, so here's another try. When passing Harlow the other day I noticed that Harlow train station was actually something i though that it would look great on my layout. so firstly as normally I made a card board mock up. after a small chat with a few of my train mates I was convinced that this was the way to go forward so designed my own impression in the silhouette software so that I could print the whole lot. as I always print on the slowest speed it takes a good few hours to print all sheets, but the result is there and assembling could start, this took me a good 20 hours to get the bridge build. and then finally when this was done it needed a bit of a weathering. before i can completely finish the foot bridge I need to make the canopies, and also I need to weather the track before I can glue the bridge down

already a long time on my things to do list, it will run on the heritage line, thanks to my buddy @Only Me who supported me big time with the conversion

Happy Sunday. For a change I had some time this weekend to give the trains a good run, still suprised that even after a long spell as this time you push the button and all run as they supposed to do. Today started with some home build buffer stops. below shown without lights. . And with lights . As I was in the mood also started detailing this stretch, footpath, dummy point motors, cabling etc. And end of the day a surprise visit from Crispy Bacon Dave who brought me a lot of celotex expanded foam , so de coming weeks and have something to do ;)

Evening all, Evening. Have made some good progress the last 2 nights, The pub side is getting shape, now in process of adding details like curtains, will also make an interior for the pub it selves with some light effects likely I have planned that the front is going to be the most visible part, still not sure why cAFE is spelled with a small c. The other side, which as it looks is a complete separate building ( see link below ) ( google maps link : https://www.instantstreetview.com/@51.495594,-0.115019,311.59h,3.92p,1z ) Is printed, took over an hour , painted and weathered although I am a bit concerned if I haven't overdone it, but ask me this question later

Evening. The biggest fun :hmmm: of a big layout that everything you do you need to do loads, after helixes it's now retaining walls. Not finished yet but looks pretty cool 2nd project I am working on at the moment is a corner pub , people who know me know that I have said that I want the majority of the buildings beeing designed and build by my selves instead of buying factory made stuff, the new Cameo I have is in this matter a massive help. So based on this pub in London I have started to design something similar with an extra floor and this is what I have achieved so far Took 2.5 hours to print, on purpose on the slowest setting but really pleased with the outcome

New Revolution Trains Class B tankers on tour @ Hills and Meadows

Evening all. Managed to squeeze a few hours into modelling and more specific the entrances. Really happy with the result and must admit it makes a great impact. Weathering is done mainly with the air brush, with a dry white wash as a finish. next job is to build another 12 which will take some time I think. Best regards Maurits

Whoop whoop weekend and no commitments so far so hopefully I can work on the retaining wall and the entrance.

Evening, the 3 mainlines and the siding have working signals now, need to do the other 2 on the heritage line, just waiting for a delivery from Crsignals. platforms and tunnel are also getting shape. On the pic EMT dmu is just arrived in the siding whilst Class 66 Eddy Stobart passes the station.

Afternoon, Want to share a few ideas I have. foot bridge because every p[roper station needs one the station building on one end of the station, will be build based on Sandy Trainstation. the other side of the station, likely that I am going to build tunnels underneath the city, this side will also get a small station for the heritage line so to be continued

afternoon all the 2 branche lines are all connected and working, this includes 2 trains which are now shunting complete computer controlled. I have attached a small video, ( disclaimer the process of breaking and picking up on the correct spot isn't finished yet ) Other project I have started is the scenery around the station area. I have done is with temporarily mock ups to get the right feel. part will be retaining walls the other part some stone walls as you can find around the ecml. Apologies for the lack of updates recently. I must admit that because of the hassle with Photobucket I wasn't in the mood at all to do any updates as it really annoys me to see the images with the 3rd party warning. But as Photobucket isn't going to listen to me anyway I can do 2 things and 1 of them is accept it, correct it sooner or later and crack on. so here we are, a little change in plan to add some shunting possibilities to the branch line., 2 new points, 4 new detection sections. will install tonight the switch motors and the magnets. Will make a new video once I have everything to work
