  1. If you look at the video when he is comparing the motor bogies (about 5m50s), the original bogie has the steps cast at the opposite end to where the hook is fixed, which is the end they normally are.
  2. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses.
  3. Dock shunters use the transcontinental double ended diesel bogie.
  4. Also not sure if you are aware but these early can motors have brushes that are retained by springs, so can be changed or renewed if you have the right size brush.
  5. Here is some pics of the Turbo Car motor and a 70's come 80's can motor from a scalextrics car, which is the same as in some of the Hornby locos, ie 0-4-0 tank. It is of the same design as the Turbo Car one but smaller in size. It could quite possible be made to fit (pack out etc) as there are no gears to mesh with.
  6. The later ones had smooth wheels. Basically all Triang were knurled and sometime during the Triang Hornby period they were changed to smooth.
  7. Rockin' All Over The World - Status Quo.
  8. Generally only the windscreen is laminated, all other glass is toughened. Hit it in a corner with something sharp and it will shatter.
