Reminder to join us at our Camborne in-store event on Friday 22nd September. The OP has been updated with the manufacturers confirmed as attending or providing displays.
As you picked a Friday and not a Wednesday, I might consider a visit by train!

I think I may have shared before that in my brief period in jig and tool design,
the office manager had a phrase he would use when we'd been struggling for hours,
sometimes days to come up with a workable design for something, "it's so simple it hurts".
It turns out that the points weren't the problem (pun intended).
On the loco that was derailing, the body retaining screw wasn't fully tightened,
which meant the head was protruding down, and catching in the point blade
on the side not touching a stock rail. I've screwed it in tight and filed it down flush,
(with still enough slot to remove the screw if necessary) and it runs over the points fine.
Thank you all for your input; I've learned a few things from your comments

Its part bad design, running through the straight road in the facing direction and the curved road in the trailing direction gives smoother running, It causes issues with set track which need rail lengths adjusted with a saw or Demel or file but its well worth doing .
The point is also distorted, probably scrap as the straight road has a big kink at the moving blade's pivot end
Thanks for your comments @DCB
If the kink you refer to is the one nearest the yellow arrow,
unless I'm missing something, that's not the side the flanges run on,
so I'm not sure it would be a problem.
Please correct me if I've misunderstood you on this.
I did try swapping with another turnout but it made no difference.

More correctly, wind shear? The direction could be up, down or sideways.
http://www.bom.gov.au/aviation/data/education/wind-shear.pdf
Except that in this case it was liquid rather than air, and the direction was vertically downwards

Would that be the "Inverted volcano effect"?
After the second dose it was more like a cloud burst!

Could do with a little Senokot!?
I would recommend the stuff I had prior to a colonoscopy last weekend.
Second dose in particular proved very effective. :)

Are all the derailments at the same place on the point. Can you locate/identify that position.
Thanks for your response.
It looks like the derailment occurs as the leading wheels meet the moving part of the points.

Usual apology to begin, if this is not in the correct section.
I have a roundy-roundy layout:
I'm getting problems with some, not all) locos derailing at the points top lh
when running in the direction shown X (facing point).
This is the turnout
And a close up:
This is one of the locos which derails:
With the points set the other way, into the loop there are no derailments.
I thought it might be because the points are next to a curve section,
but there are no problems with the points top right.
The points are Kato no 6 (781mm rad) and the curves are 282mm rad.
I've tried a different set of points and get the same result,
which suggests it might be a vertical misalignment problem,
(uneven baseboard) but before I start dismantling track
I thought I would seek advice from the RMWeb collective wisdom)

It may even be possible to provide short lengths of OLE at the likes of Marylebone and Moor Street to charge the batteries via a Photograph (thus future proofing the fleet) and provide power while the trains are parked there during turnarounds.
Spellcheck appears to have found a simple answer to vehicle battery charging.

Not necessarily stupidity but it seems to have happened at a crossing:

The man being helped seems to have been electrocuted, so did he make contact with the overhead wires? Very little information.
Jonathan
Just seen this on the Beeb site but, under the circumstances,
didn't think it appropriate to post under "Stupidity"

A tad optimistic I think. £125 for a cardboard box and a circle of 2' radius, raised third rail, steel and wood track.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186040139692?
Not that rare and you can pick a complete set up for that price.
Does the fact that it's MODAL justify the price?

I think we have strayed somewhat from the Jacobite .
It's that well known RMWeb Thread Drift Syndrome.
It's what happens when things don't have
an official body to oversee them :)
No criticism on Andy and Phil, they do their best
but it's an uphill struggle against us lot
Perhaps we need the Rmweb Thread Drift Investigation Body

Same with the RAF in 1965 when I joined. It was explained to us when filling in the paperwork for our dogtags that there were no Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists or anything else-ists in HM's air force. All officers were either C of E or RC.
Being pedantic I know but the RAF seem to have got confused between religion and denomination.
Jews, Hindu etc are religions, RC & C of E are denominations within the Christian religion.
Pedant hat off!
