Daftanyun oil . . . .Doctors this morning for my annual blood-letting session and pins stuck in me feet, and a blood flow check . . . took him a while to find it on my left foot. I was asked if I wanted a face to face, or 'phone appointment for the annual review . . I'm in there at 11.45am on my birthday . . .I said keeping me off the Metformin would be present enough. All the Sna has gone and it is quite mild. Have a goodun John

my little Yaris - petrol - 11 years old, had its annual test today . . . needed new discs and pads on the front . . he also gave it a service . . .£320 . . . hate to think what the Toyota dealer would have charged. Boss was of the opinion that it would be easier for me to re-learn my lost computing skills, that to teach a computer savvy recruit about our business . . Taxi and coaches. First job was to create a cash flow projection for the Bank . . .First thing I did was t buy a copy of Lotus 123 2.2 for dummies. . . .Worked a treat. . .as I neared the end of that first project, I said to myself . . . ."Self . . . this is just like the algebra that you couldn't get yer heed rund at skyull. It's been a bit damp today . . . grey, dull, and damp . . . welllllll . . wet, in fact, and cool . . not above 14c all day . . . .in fact, it's p!ssing down since 5.00pm . . before that it was light to heavy drizzle(variable) since 5.00am(monday). Good morning all . . . . Weather . . . wet, cold, grey . . . not naice. In reply to Baz and his "Canny bagga Chewdah" . . . . I think they used to try new flavours on the locals first . . But the worst flavours for outside smells when passing the factory were Tomato Kechup flavour, which to me always smelled like vomit (with or without diced carrots), and Prawn Cocktail, which had the odour of something left out on the fishmonger's slab in the summer sun(other descriptions are available) . . . And if you had a pick-up from the factory, you could smell what flavours they had been working on. Another appointment with the physio terrorist tomorrow morning up at Seaham . . .weather looking dry but cold. Modelling? . .done buggrall . . . . Guitar picking . . . .buggrall. . . . . . . Morning all . . . I had to carry 2 difernt Id's. . . Both 'photo . . .one for Hackney carriage, and one for Private Hire because I had both types of vehicle . . . Sunny/haze type of day . . about 16c at the moment with a light breeze from the sea . . .very pleasant. have a guddun . . . John

I have two cameras . .a compact Samsung Digimax, and a Samsung bridge camera which was bought to replace the Digimax . . .I seem to do Ok with them, but i'm no photographer. It's been a beautiful, sunny day , today with a light breeze from the sea . . .stayed at 15c in Horden, 15c in Hetton, and a heady 19c in Durham . . . . After a bit of shopping (Durham) spent afternoon in my friends garden,(Hetton) then back home for tea and a quick nap before picking me Marra up for a acoustic session in my kitchen . . . Evening all . . . . .Sister's funeral today at S'Shields Sally Army followed by the Crematorium, the back to S.A for Alco-free tea. not bothered about alco free 'cos Had to drive home. Drive up to 'Shields was p1ssy down rain , dry by the time I arrived, and sunny by the time the (long?) service had finished . Lots of hugs from Nieces i haven't seem for ages . I told the ladies serving that I hoped the tea was as good as we get at the annual model railway exhibition. Yes,Baz, ham and Pease pudding buns, but no cream horns, but lots of Peach Melbas. The coffin was carried by her four sons . . . Oldest was heard to remark that 'mother had put weight on since she died. A sad day but lots of catching up with nephews and nieces . . .and a cousin who I kept calling Vera . . .her mothers name . . . . We were 9 . . . . . . but with Marie gone we are down to 4 . . and I'm the youngest at 74. . all in all, not a bad day . . for a funeral. Goodnight all, sleep well . . . . .and keep smiling. John

Morning all . . . . . .Sunny-ish, cloudy-ish, 14c-ish, . . . .quite pleasant-ish. . . The biggest hit on my fuel consumption (11 yr old yaris), is driving to the shops 1.5 miles each way , then parked up for a day or two. . . annual mileage about 4500 . My A/C is on all the time . .Generally around 39-ish mpg, but on a run around the Durham dales last year managed about 48-ish. just had to insure it for another year . . . OWCH!!!!!. Sister's funeral not until the 19th . . . Sanddancers crem fully booked till then . . . Have a good day, all . . .and Keep Smiling. John

Is that what it's supposed to be . . . . . . And a Happy Birthday to Dave Hunt . . A few weeks ago , i had an MRI scan on my neck/shoulders on a Sunday night . . .yesterday I had an appointment with a Physioterrorist . . . . basically LET IT DEVELOPE . . . He kept referring to my age, as in "not to bad for 71 . . welll . .at your age etc, etc, etc. Finally My youngest sister died on Sunday , 74 years and 2 months old. . .She had been ill for quite a while.
