  1. Tony, great minds think alike - dropped Dapol an email myself asking exactly the same thing. Really hoping they will be available as spares as theres obviously a decent amount of interest in getting hold of them - even for those of us who never had one to start with
  2. Just noticed that one of my DRS examples is missing its full front 'air dam'. I have the accessory pack but obviously that one has a slot in it. As the DRS ones are now out of stock and apart from the air dam the rest of the model is perfect, I'm loathe to send it back. So was wondering does anyone know if these are going to be available as spares at some point, especially as it sounds as though a few want another full air dam at the other end? Worse case is that I'll have to fill in the gap on the slotted air dam, but if it's gonna be available I'm patient so will wait,
  3. Picked mine up today from the PO. Quite nervous on opening them (DRS example especially). Seems I've been luckier than some others in that both my examples - DRS and Chiltern - are both perfect. No crooked nameplates, glue dribbles or paint marks. Very pleased with them both but such a shame that some others have received poor QC models. Very tempted to get a second Chiltern example (to name Oxford Flyer) but worried I may not be as lucky with the next model.
  4. Add me to the 'got mine too' gang!!! Not bad considering I only decided to order it last week after seeing examples on here. Actually the livery looks to be superbly applied on my example (66 718) - checked the bag of bits and the nameplates are in there along with everything else. Wont get a chance to test run it for a few weeks though. Seriously considering getting Harry Beck too, but this would probably be my last Class 66 as I think I have more than enough examples of them now. Dave
  5. I've used them a couple of times now for 009 stock - prices, service and delivery have been brilliant!
  6. Taking advantage of the early-bird price, I've just ordered my rake of EWS ones - and after what has been mentioned previously - added a couple of Freighliner ones in there for variety. Looking forward to seeing more progress shots of them as they get nearer production. Dave
  7. Not exactly model related Lee, but what paint did you use on/for your nameplates? Have some myself and your paint colour looks spot on!!
  8. Like most people on here, i've received my first batch of pre orders - (still awaiting 005 and 006). Lovely model and can't wait to weather and detail it. A decent rake of these will prove nice and weighty tho!! Planning on running a rake of around 12 to 14 in the end. Have 9 at the mo and although heavy they roll really well and smoothly. As been mentioned before too - the little detail pack included is really useful as well, so a big thumbs up from me.
  9. Hi Paul, Only just found this topic (eyesight must be worse than I thought) and just wanted to compliment you on a superb looking layout and modelling too. Speed at which this has come together is awesome. Some great 'how to's ' as well which I shall be using when I finally get my layout off the ground - including the excuse for going upstairs to do some decorating….cough!cough!
  10. To echo a few of the previous comments re Kerry's/Invicta's service and the model too - I'm yet another happy chappy!! My RTC one turned up this morning and have pre ordered my weathered blue one for when it arrives. Dave
  11. Hi folks, newby here but thought I'd add my bit to this too. Have slowly been starting to weather and detail my rake of 14 BAA's (11 EWS, 2 Railfreight and 1 Metals Sector) Like rs4 I've also used Colin Craig etched wheel discs but instead of my usual sized ones had to resort to the slightly smaller CC02W discs which fit in the wheels an absolute treat. Once weathered up and detailed though, they look great. Dave
