  1. Duncan, What a lovely piece of work, enjoyed seeing it displayed at Doncaster, right up my street, literally, Understand that compromises have to be made but you've definitely captured the feel of the place. Regards Pete (Shirebrook Signaller)
  2. Dave, The nose cone has several seam lines on the render that are not noticeable on the real thing, is this correct? Regards Peter.
  3. Hi Dave, How's the scanning party shaping up, pun intended, will there be a few of us there? Looking forward to it and getting to crawl all over the real thing... See you there Peter.
  4. Only recently discovered there used to be a signal box in the middle of Woodhead tunnel to break up the section and increase traffic, this must have been a God-forsaken place to work, apparently closed due to lack of applicants to work there, you don't say! would have been a good place to put signallers by way of punishment for any faux pas recently committed.
  5. Right, I'm gonna commission you to supply and build an excellent wild boar models crane kit (sold out i know, bear with me) £160.00, say your going to charge me £10 per hour labour, very reasonable, eight hours build time, maybe more, £80, paint it and add transfers, materials inc glue paint etc, maybe £30 get it to run as well as the Bachmann model, so your gonna quote me £270. Can I get back to you.......
  6. We are all well aware of the price increases, CONSTANTLY banging on about it on here isn't going to change anything, you either accept it and move on or find yourselves another hobby........
  7. Thread calling Andy Y, Thread calling Andy Y......
  8. It did, but they offered extra coaches to run as a what could have been scenario.
  9. I cant answer that. but I'm willing to take the risk, If you paid via credit card maybe the insurance would cover you if it went t1ts up.
  10. Stu, That's a good point, I'd overlooked the trailers next to the power cars. I'm a numpty! Regards The Duck..
  11. Its just you, the rest of us are bursting with excitement! besides, its been stated on here that payments will be made in part as the progress develops, so you wont be handing over £1000 up front with nothing to show for it.
  12. In fact if driving cars were available separately we could run more than one set, just a thought........
  13. How about some TP for your bunghole?
  14. Its a pretty safe bet that these sets are not going to be permanently coupled, would make postage rather difficult! so by ordering the 14 car set you can make a number of combinations...
  15. Dave/Mick, Just curious how you've found the response to your project, Has is surpassed what you imagined or been a little slower than you thought? is the project looking viable? I'm very much hoping so....... Regards Peter.
  16. I know i read that is was being produced with a lifting nose and nem socket for dragging, But I'm buggered if i can find it anywhere..
  17. 14 car set just ordered, No rush, any time before xmas is fine
  18. Ah, Thanks for that personally don't think the price is too horrendous given the complexity of such a model...
  19. No worries. shout up if you need any further help, Regards Peter.
