An artist at work - great to watch, George. Please keep the updates coming

Whichever version you choose, that scene looks lovely!

That looks a fab walk, Tom - where's the 'envious' button......?
-
Weird, isn't it, because i'd go for the first one! To me the bike and drain cover in the foreground make the scene appear 'normal' - there's nothing overly exciting in the picture, just a usual day in LM, which is perfect. I guess it helps that i can imagine the height of the shot being normal eye level.

Hi Kevin, I used Cambridge Custom Transfers sheets BL137 for the CO and BL138 for the Cubic Yards for mine, although these are for Herring in BR days so have a yellowy tinge (Herring were also 13 cubic tonnes, so you need to change the load). They are OK with weathering though - I couldn't find a source for either elsewhere. On the Great Western Study Group a while back, it was advised that the HMRS is reworking their GWR sheet - I asked that both the CO and cubic yards be added to the revised sheet. I have no idea if that's been taken on board, or when the sheet is likely to be reissued, but here's hoping..... The whole train looks great by the way! Jon T

Another wonderful picture Kevin, so much to look at and so inspiring! I need to go back through the thread again to see how you did the hedgerows, but 494 pages is a little daunting! The world is a better place with a morning dose of LM! Jon T

Glad to hear you're both OK, Rob - what is this world coming to? I hope you are both able to settle down again before too long. Jon T

Or maybe someone had a quiet word with the Corporal in the Squadron Leader's Photographic Reconnaissance Unit? Jon T

Hi Rob, That looks really great. I'm just about to start rodding, so i've been following your and others' work. I'm guessing that it is installed still on the plasticard strip - is that correct? Thanks Jon T

I totally agree Kevin, absolutely fantastic and without doubt, one of the best (if not the best) picture of a model I've ever seen. Mr W, I reckon he'd be whistling too....

GWR P15 Ballast Wagon - 4mm transfers
Silas replied to Silas's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Phil, many thanks, duly ordered. Robin, noted thank you, but i'll see how i get on with the less adventurous route first! Much appreciated Gents Jon T -
Good evening all, I'm trying to complete a couple of 4mm GWR P15 ballast wagons and have come unstuck with the transfers. I'm trying to find a supplier for the 'Pt Way', 'cubic yards' and the construction 'CO' in a circle. Sorry but i didn't have the time to try and attach a picture. I've tried searching the catalogues of Fox, Modemaster, Railtec, HMRS, all without success so far. I know I can't be the first to have encountered this problem, please can someone point me in the right direction? Many thanks Jon T

Hi Connor, How did you get on with sourcing transfers? I have one mid-build myself so would welcome the advice! Thanks Jon T
