Update....so I have contacted DCC Concepts and described the above fault and have been told that there is a known firmware problem with some decoders working with the high capacity stay alive , namely there's as I've now tested the stayalive with TCS, ZIMO, ESU and they work correctly, but added to a zen Buddha, and a smaller DCC concepts decoder and the original faulty occurs, namely when there is track power loss the loco will reverse direction at a high speed. Adjust cv 29 will stop this fault but then there is no stayalive what so ever.
Apparently when they build a new batch of their decoders this fault will be corrected.., but this Raise a question or two, why when the two items were recommmened and purchased together for an o gauge loco install that the "known" problem was not mentioned, plus why are these products not fully tested before been released for sale? Are we, the buyers, the test guinneypigs ?
