As I said the inclusion of Carmine & Cream was a mistake.
We learned from the 320 that offering all 3 liveries just means that all the 3 liveries will struggle to meet MOQs and that Strathclyde Orange was more popular than Carmine & Cream (and that Scotrail Saltire was more popular than both), so we've picked liveries that give the best possible spread of time periods given what I've just said.
If we offer Strathclyde Orange and Carmine & Cream there is a significant probability that neither would get produced...

The cut down versions also had several strengtheners added when they were cut down (so would require a new set of tooling).

For clarity, the livery choices we are offering are confirmed and they are as follows:
313: Blue/Grey; NSE; Silverlink: with Silverlink Metro branding or London Underground; Dynamic Lines: with FCC or Great Northern branding; Southern
314: Scotrail Saltire; Strathclyde Orange (SPT Carmine & Cream crept in where it shouldn't have)
We're also discussing a couple of other versions with retailers: NR yellow and the heritage Blue/Grey (with the grey doors).

Yes and no. The 93s are not the 88s - technically they are significantly different diesel prime mover plus batteries vs last mile diesel. Externally the front end will be completely different as per the mockup that Stadler and ROG (copy on our website) - as the 93 will be styled along the standard Stadler Eurodual lines rather than the rather unique 68/88 front end.

I'll be converting a few to EM. My plan is to try pulling the wheels out on the axle (there is room) and if necessary file back a bit some of back of the W iron/axlebox moulding.

Manufacturer vs commissioner is a bit of a moot point - do you class Apple as a manufacturer? I’ve not heard anyone refer to their Foxconn IPhone. The reality is that supply chains are long and complex but that ultimately the company with its name on the box is responsible for the model production as far as the customer/retailer is concerned.
I’ve yet to hear of a factory turning down a larger order...

Yes, an ESU Loksound Micro v5.
ps if the non-DCC fitted 92s don’t have the additional info sheet on all the DCC settings we used you can download it from our website > Information > Support then click on the 92 support page link.

ESU do a Lokpilot Micro Next18 version with 6 functions which would be the closest to the sound decoder in our 92s.

The switch is deeply recessed in the body right behind the coupler arm - you should be able to see a small cut away in the chassis with a small black on silver switch.

NB if I remember correctly there won't be any batteries included as it is almost impossible to ship batteries in models.

The container has arrived at Southampton and if I understood the message from the shipping company correctly it is due to be unloaded tomorrow.
At the current time I expect it to take a few days to be unpacked and clear customs then get down to Kernow.

I don’t think so. They were designed with the Nightstar cross-channel sleepers in mind but that obviously never got into service.

We still supply the EU! To be honest, it is a bit more work but it is no different to supplying non-UK or non-EU countries.
If you live in the EU and placed an order before 1/1/2021 then you will have been charged UK VAT which we will refund on despatch (assuming nothing changes between now and when we ship the product).
If you place an order for delivery to the EU from 1/1/2021 then no VAT should be included on your order (it will state explicitly if you are being charged VAT on the totals as there will be a separate line item for VAT).

Resolving the VAT issue isn’t complicated but it wasn’t particularly clear what was going to happen until very late on the deal.
In summary, any new orders placed on our website from anywhere outside the UK should be charged no VAT. Any orders placed before 31/12/2020 by EU customers but shipped after 01/01/2021 will have had VAT charged which will be refunded before we ship models (though with a couple of the 92 orders we’ve refunded at the same time as despatching the orders).

I think you’ve answered your own question!We’ve sent out emails to everyone we think had an outstanding balance.
We’ve then focused on sending out fully paid orders. We’re starting to get to the end of the fully paid orders and then I will deal with any queries/questions etc.

Depending on exactly when you ordered your order *might* have tracking details on our website but that is only automatic for orders placed from around Dec 2018 onwards.
All models should in theory be with you in 1-2 working days from the point they were dropped off at the PO but that obviously depends on the RM depots that your parcel has to pass through to get from us to you - there are a lot of unpredictable delays in the post as different sorting offices etc are impacted at different times by the impact of COVID-19.

I don’t know what system KR Models website uses but some websites use geolocation via IP addresses for displaying appropriate prices. Most of the time that works fine but some IP addresses don’t always resolve correctly to a particular location which can confuse such systems. So the price may display as incl VAT or excl VAT depending on where the geolocation thinks the IP address is.
It is all over ridden once someone logs in or provides a delivery address so at the point of ordering (which is the crucial point from a VAT perspective) the customer should be shown the correct values.
It isn’t 100% foolproof but it works the vast majority of the time.

The set that used to run in the SE was all PTAs I think - mostly VTG but with the odd very faded Yeoman wagon in the set.
