  1. Something a little bit different, for me, at least. This coach is to be lightly weathered, to represent a vehicle running in the 1930s. I don't envisage using large quantities of anything, but the difficulty will be to portray a very light coat of dirt without making it look blotchy. I plan to use pigment for most of the work - AK Interactive Dark Earth. Application will be done using small brushes, probably a round no. 2 and a filbert no. 2 or 4. Being a panelled coach, the real challenge will be to represent the dirt buildup around panel edges, and then to photograph this so that it can be seen.
  2. Some may have spotted it and kept quiet, not wanting to be associated with such humour.
  3. He's not a botherer, he's a full blooded nudger! Look at the angle of nudge in both pictures. This bloke has done it before!
  4. He was looking at a canopy on Clarendon station, trying to determine when it had last been nudged.
  5. I have discovered that canopies are not alone in the nudging community. There is some decal nudging going on as well.
  6. Most certainly. Proximity to anything is desirable for the sake of companionship. Proximity to nothing, on the other hand, is to be avoided at all cost, and proximity to something is to be encouraged in others, albeit only behind closed doors. There may or may not be additional circumstances in which you may or may not find yourself, all of which may or may not contribute to your confusion.
  7. Agreed, but it must have started as a nudge, surely.
  8. Maybe we should change the title of the topic to, "Canopy Nudging and other Embarrassing Stigmata". What else will come into the limelight, heretofore hidden away out of sight of normal folk?
  9. The canopy nudging community should have an anthem to sing at gatherings (yes, there are such). Canopy. Nudge. Canopy. Nudge. Canopy, canopy. Nudge, nudge, nudge. To be yelled rhythmically.
  10. Reverse nudging! Now that's an interesting technique.
  11. COME ON, KEVIN. NUDGE A CANOPY. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!
  12. Aha! A true canopy nudger! They're coming out of the woodwork, now...........
  13. There's a new activity being promoted on RMweb. It has been called, "Canopy Nudging". See if you can find where it's happening . . . . . .
  14. Canopy nudging, of course.
  15. There's nothing like a bit of canopy nudging to start the day!
  16. I'm not sure that the Land Rover should be in the same photograph as the aircraft.
  17. Bourbons? BOURBONS? What happened to the custard creams?
  18. If you want to use T-Cut to remove an area and be precise about the size and shape of that area then I recommend using Tamiya Cotton Swabs - extra small triangular. These are very tightly wound and can be shaped with a craft knife if desired. Don't be tempted to use the point to rub the nameplate off, use the angled side/edge to cover a slightly larger area.
