  1. have worked on the body for an older cargowaggon from the 1950's, but need to find a longer 4 wheel chassis. Might bodge something, but not sure. Am possibly looking to build some more modern cargowaggons, but not sure. Your work looks great though, looks realistic and would fit in on a speedlink blockfreight working
  2. would love to see sprung buffing plates and sprung gangway ends! would make a good change to seeing daylight between coaches!
  3. nice layout, keep up the good work! Just out of interest, what cargowaggon is that?
  4. also, here is a closer pic of (what I think is) the 6tc unit which was used to clapham junction: http://www.rail-online.co.uk/p594593195/h429a2d31#h25138df4
  5. Hornby does 121's, and on that point, there are pics on the internet of a 117 trailer sandwiched between 2 121's
  6. Yeah, I've been interested in 117's for a while and having looked around the internet, apparently the lima model is inaccurate and once you change 1 part the rest looks wrong. If I was to make a 117, I would chop up some 121's as they are meant to be similar. Other than that, great model and hope it turns out alright!
  7. looks great but you need stuff like bubble cars and class 104 conversions. Possibly have 2 bubble cars with a 117 trailer in between, have seen that. Other than that, taking shape really well
  8. for the level crossing, you could have a set of tracks diverge and head to the corner which have the level crossing with the other set of tracks heading towards the front of the board. The crossing could access an oil depot as Ripple lane is meant to have one (I think) and you could use pipe bridges as a scenic break. Or you could have a level crossing on the industrial board which could be used for the end for a possible extension
  9. I've seen similar factories on other layouts, but what techniques/kits/scratchbuilding methods did you use to make that factory? Thank you
  10. you could have a flyover and have it come down on the outside of the station like the barking flyover like this NRM pic
  11. you could use the front of the shed to hide a fiddle yard where you could have a traverser or sector plate hidden which can also access the main running roads
  12. have a line going off for the gates and have the mainline going into a tunnel just like the connaught tunnel in silvertown
  13. you could use the 3 cep to do something like this https://www.flickr.com/photos/36034969@N08/4744743825https://www.flickr.com/photos/36034969@N08/4744743825 or the tractor unit at the bottom of this page http://www.semgonline.com/gallery/class411_2.html
  14. probably green, judging by that and the picture below. You could download it to word and up the contrast to see whether its green or blue. If in doubt, turquoise
  15. Port of London Authority? Golden Valley is releasing a PLA Janus so you could use that. Good luck anyway
  16. is it possible to fit it in the fuel tanks?
  17. Great layout, but didn't Kings Cross suburban have 2 through platforms from Moorgate? Other than that, great layout and looking forward to see more of this layout
  18. Just out of interest, are you considering adding any sidings or anything, because I think that would be beneficial and more interesting? Matthew
  19. You only realise how big it was when you put a replica on the track, and then you realise it was bigger than 2 class 20's!
  20. Surprised it isn't modern, looks like something from London Bridge's rebuilding scheme!
  21. Why have you got a modern set of buffers? Other than that very nice! Keep up the good work!
  22. just out of interest does ward's building still exist?
  23. I can, like North Woolwich, the New North Main Line (GWR), Birkbeck, and possibly more examples I don't know of. Beckton was also single tracked but in a way there is almost a sense of charm to a single track line in a city.
