  1. For the ohle: https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/lx050-oo-mix--match-laser-cut-catenary-ohle-masts--headspans-oo4mm176-1810-p.asp https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/lx050-oo-laser-cut-lattice-girder-ohle-catenary-headspan-extensions-pack-e-oo4mm176-1815-p.asp https://www.nbrasslocos.co.uk/oocat.html these should be good, best of luck! Matthew
  2. I think you are over thinking it, I am surprised it is even possible to produce weathering that good in N gauge! Best of luck, Matthew
  3. The pic and the track layout look good so far, looking forward to seeing more, especially the station area! If you still need to develop some scenic sections, this layout could provide good inspiration: and this one and this one and this one Looking forward to seeing the progress on the layout, Matthew
  4. When was it built? Surely BR wouldn't build a loco to only last 8 years....
  5. St Johns, here is the history of the area: https://www.londonreconnections.com/2013/accidents-and-islands-a-history-of-st-johns-station-part-1/
  6. http://www.worsleyworks.co.uk/Image-Pages/Image_3mm_Pullman.htm this 3mm one will probably be similar to a 2mm one, it looks simple enough but most difficult things can look easy if the right person does it. Best of luck, Matthew
  7. Worsley Works do a few pullmans if you don't mind soldering
  8. Could work although warping could be an issue, although didn't Copenhagen Fields use something similar except with plates in the fiddle yard?
  9. You could detail a class 110 or you could get something from DC kits. If you want a 3 or 4tc you can convert it from mk1's and you could have it hauled
  10. No problem, would it be possible to have a cut along the bogie so if you are attempting p4 you could add an insert? I'm going to be trying to build it to p4 (hopefully!)
  11. I want one but only if I can get the body for less than £35 and can get a set of the 4 bogies for less than £16. I know where I can get the wheels and I can sort out the powering, glazing shouldn't be an issue. To reduce costs would a frame like tjf4375 be possible? It would make construction more fun and inscentivise actually building the insides, which leads me on to who has pictures of the insides? Thanks!
  12. Will probably try and use the diagram of your roof profile to try and build a jig and then use a frame, thanks for the suggestions though! Edit: would it be possible to 3D print frames like tjf4375 is doing at the moment with his class 700?
  13. with the gangway you could have a coupling which will remain close on a straight and then extends on corners like the Pendolino that Hornby makes
  14. Could probably done by using the model from shapeways to make a jig: https://www.shapeways.com/product/7ST3GA4ZD/o-76-district-g-q23-stock-coach?optionId=62780562 would result in a very cheap fleet!
  15. how hard would it be to scratch build Q23/27/31/35 stock? Is there any existing coaches with the right roof profile?
  16. look at the widened lines that could work as it had really cramped stations to the point where 8 car trains couldnt stop at some stations
  17. why is the chassis block still in the chassis? Isn't the driving vehicle heavy enough on its own?
  18. very good model, haven't seen many of these before!
  19. for the 487 don't you mean a 482? Also, what was the number of the ex EPB sandite DT, as it looks very impressive, and was the 4tc restored back to normal? Thank you!
  20. Have you got any plans or pics of the real thing or any specs which could be used to build one in 00 scale? Were they in use in the late 1960's to late 1970's? Thank you
  21. great tankers, how did you make them? Is there an easy way of modifying a kit or making an rtr model for chemicals? Thanks
