  1. Part of the fun is experimenting on what sounds good for you, its the same as choosing speakers for the job............ I use to use some years back a large 28mm speaker fitted under the fan [blu tak sealed] with all my Zimo 37's - what is now called the tortured path method [is this a Paul Chetter term... ] Those type 3 sure did growl! Finally moved on to Alan Butcher bass reflex in the tanks - a lot more work to fit - but wow do those 37's do sound deeper.........
  2. You can use the fuel tanks as a sound chamber, it would work as long as it is a sealed unit and nothing escapes up into the motor area.
  3. If it is a V3.5 RTR model - forget the blu tak enclosure on the chassis, fit a bass reflex 100 ohm speaker into the fuel tanks. It will go alot louder and will add bass your 37 will growl! - This is the only way to improve the RTR V3.5 model for increase loudness If its a V4 chip get youself the Alan Butcher speaker fitted into the fuel tanks - this is a serious growl on a 37!
  4. The only answer to this is fitting a 100 ohm bass reflex speaker into the fuel tanks - if its a v3.5 chip. Or a Alan Butcher bass speaker into the tanks if its a V4.0 chip - either way a complete strip down is required, it is easy but certainly well worth it. Sealing the speaker will give you a slight improvement in sound - but nowhere near to fitting either of the above speakers - especially the AB speaker!
  5. This video has shown how this latest 'Paul Chetter Zimo' has taken sound chips to another level......... As this is a Rail Exclusive special DS fitted loco, why don't they do a BR Blue version? Now that would be something.
  6. Oh Yes we thrash! So you can toggle F6 to rev the 37 from coasting as long as the loco is moving above the threshold value for the thrash sound. Works a treat!
  7. This is the lastest enhanced Class 37 multi drive on a Zimo sound chip. It shows the 37 coasting, then a bit of instant full thrash, the thrash starts automatically and is switched back to coasting via pressing F6 - at any speed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9ycYJLIQDU&feature=youtu.be

  11. Hi,

I have 37254 [the last one released] - its the same set up as the latest model.

I have tweaked all my CV's so it runs and coast very well.

PM me if you wish to have these settings / I will be able to pm you tonight with them.

Also please remember if you press F5 notching a couple of times - you have to press F6 [notching off the same amount of times.
