  1. I think it works well Gilbert, a lovely shot.
  2. Very true Tony, I couldn't agree more. Regards' Geoff.
  3. I'm with Jesse on that one. I really enjoy operating from the other side, even when I operate both up and down trains (slightly confusing for my small brain). I'm also still young enough (just) to crawl under the layout.
  4. Great work Jesse, love it when a plan comes together.
  5. Looks good Jonathan, I picked up a couple of candidates at the Lincoln show today. I sort of take pity on them and like you say are a good to practice on.
  6. We certainly did Jesse, hopefully we will get to have another fun day playing trains and being politically incorrect.
  7. All part of the learning curve Jesse. My vocabulary has expanded no end since I started building kits.
  8. Hope it all dries out okay Jesse, and there's no real damage.
  9. Just me then Gilbert, who forgets to pull the signals off. Do like the going away shots.
  10. I have been called many things but never a snag before.
  11. Hi James, Only just stumbled across your thread, will be following with interest though as I lived in Didcot in the late 80's and early 90's up till about 95 and was an avid spotter in those days. It was my intention to model Hinksey Yard (Oxford) in that period and had a large collection of stock. I've since sold the lot and gone back in time to the ECML 1956. Seeing the pictures of your 37's has got me looking for all my old photos from my spotting days at Didcot, so thanks for that. Excellent weathering I have to say. Geoff.
  12. Couldn't agree more. Enjoy your day Gilbert.
  13. Merry Christmas Jesse. That's what its all about having fun, enjoy. Geoff.
  14. Really like the going away shot of the WD Gilbert.
  15. A most enjoyable day yesterday playing trains with good mates. Thanks Tony and thanks to Mo for a lovely lunch. Also good to see Jesse again and have a good chat.
  16. Good to see you again yesterday Jesse.
  17. I think Mo is right, it could be made into a nice bungalow. There is certainly plenty of room for a shed. I think we should come up and have a proper look round, yes it would be great to move up your way. Regards, Geoff.
  18. Thank you for a most enjoyable day again Tony.
  19. Another couple of books arrived today Gilbert, and I have spent an enjoyable evening having a quick browse through them. I agree as we said there would need to be quite a few compromises but ones I think I can live with. I believe the platform could only hold six coaches, which would be interesting as most of the stoppers it would seem were longer, I've only found one that was only four coaches, the 05.50 Kings X - Grantham. I'm sure my research will turn up some more interesting stuff.
