  1. The current Class 37s and DBSO pairings are as follows: 37402+DBSO 9705 37423+37604 Not sure as to what loco/s and DBSO are on which set though.
  2. 37219 looks fantastic! I think I'm going to have to resist with the Colas 37s because I am concentrating on my DRS loco fleet. Hoping to buy five DRS 37s, three DRS 57/3s, some Class 68s and 66434. If I was to start with Colas 37s I would be wanting at least two to run top and tail a test train. Have you also got a 37421 in Colas livery?
  3. Very interesting. Thanks for letting me know It will certainly make for some interesting photos, train formations and stock moves etc when the DBSOs are in use. It will also give us all something new and different to spot.
  4. As much as I like to see photos of the 37s working the Cumbrian and Anglian passenger trains I think it will be interesting to see a 37 and DBSO working together. It will certainly add more interest and when the other three DBSOs are out and about something else to see. So are 9705 and 9707 the only two DRS DBSOs so far? What numbers are the other three going to be? Where currently where are the other three? I am assuming that because only the 37/4s will be working with the DBSOs this is why 401, 407, 422, 424 have/are been returned to traffic?
  5. Yes according to what I have heard more DRS Class 37s are to be fitted with the remote fire suppression equipment. I would assume however that the fitting of the equipment will limit which Class 37s are working the Cumbrian Coast trains so for the people who want to ride on the trains, see or photo specific locos on the workings this week and possibly a short time after (if the proposed start date for the DBSOs next week doesn't go to plan) might be the last opportunity to see a variety of the liveried and numbered 37s on the Cumbrian trains.
  6. Yes I think that will look good. On my old layout I had the fuel point at the front of the shed/TMD and I think it looks effective because it sets the TMD back further and you can park/store locos next to the fuelling point (in front of the shed) and inside the shed itself.
  7. Great work Jim! I really like the new set up too. The new points which have been fitted to the corner of the layout add a lot more interest and you would expect to see a lot of points near a TMD building or storage sidings for wagons so it adds a lot of realism. Regarding the TMD and two storage sidings I like the look of the TMD in the corner but I think it comes too close to the mainline. Maybe you could set the building back a bit more if there is room or you could see what it looks like where the two wagon storage sidings are. Keep up the good work
  8. The only DRS 57 I have so far is 57011 which is the standard Bachmann model. I bought this around 6 years ago from Ehattons. I haven't currently got a layout as it's been dismantled a few months ago. Therefore I cannot test any new locos that I buy so I haven't bought any Revised liveried DRS 57/3s as yet. Recently (since the layout was dismantled) I have bought nine new coaches. Six of these are DRS Compass MK2s and the other three I bought from R3Sprays on Saturday at Kingmoor are ScotRail MK2s. I have been buying new coaches just because they don't need testing unlike locos. I am hoping to buy three or four of them when I have a layout built back up because I haven't ever owned a Class 57/3 and I think they look really good in the DRS Revised livery.
  9. Fantastic photo mate! The detailing is great and I really like the look of the Network Rail 57/3s on the de-icer train! Have you made the two de-icer wagons yourself? They look good top and tail the 57/3s. I still can't decide what livery is better suited to the 57/3s. The NR Yellow looked smart but the Revised DRS livery also looks good. It's a shame that there isn't 57/3s in both liveries! I'm looking at buying some Revised DRS 57/3s Are they 57305 and 57306 in the photo? Have you got any other NR 57/3s? Keep up the good work with the layout, detailing and the realism of how your locos and stock look
  10. This is typical! When 70803 came onto Midland Road and was working liners too and from Leeds FLT on a couple of occasions I was busy working and couldn't see it and now I haven't had internet for four days in between it arriving at Midland Road and leaving today. I have just literally got back online. Good to see that other people have seen 809! The pics are fantastic and hopefully third time lucky for me to see one
  11. Thank you for the replies. I did remember about the times previously mentioned in the thread but I just wanted to ask again in case there had been any changes that I wasn't aware of. Depending on how much time I spend at the Kingmoor open day I will try and get to see at least one of the Cumbrian trains. It's just a shame that after the 14:26 arrival from Barrow there isn't another Cumbrian train in Carlisle until 20:29. It depends as to which 37s are working the sets on the day. If I have already seen them I might be better off staying at the Kingmoor open day longer. I will see what happens on the day. Thank you very much for the help. It's very much appreciated.
  12. Hi all, I wonder if anyone could help me? Will either of the Cumbrian Coast sets/trains with the top and tail DRS Class 37s on be in Carlisle station on Saturday 18th July? If so please could you tell me the headcode for the train/s and the time/s that the train/s are in Carlisle station? Thank you very much in advance.
  13. As always really nice pictures and videos Jim! Really like the one with the DRS 57/3s on the Northern Belle at Crewe
  14. Thanks for letting me know about that Jim! It looks like the livery errors are on the grey and blue MRAs as I am just on the Dapol website looking at them. Looks like they have been reduced significantly to compensate for this though because another set of the grey and blue MRAs are £160! I might consider buying them if you can pick them up at a cheaper price. Sure the livery errors won't be nothing too noticeable and lets face it once their running on the layout no one will know. I will try and have a look for the thread
  15. Thanks for the reply Jim! It's very much appreciated. It's good to know because if the couplings are practically useless I won't buy them. Not going to spend £120 on them and then buy the loads off Ebay probably near on £150 and have coupling problems and no doubt derailing as a knock on effect. Might as well spend more money and buy the Bachmann JJAs. Layout is looking good Jim! The Colas locos are too! Cannot wait for Bachmann to release the Colas 70 now. Cheers Jim for clearing that one up for me
  16. Hi all, I'm looking at buying some new engineers wagons. I'm debating weather to buy a five car set of the Dapol MRAs or a rake of Bachmann JJAs. Please could someone tell me the problem with the MRAs? Is their an easy fix to the problem? Thank you very much in advance.
  17. Thank you for letting me know. It's very much appreciated. Sounds fantastic
  18. Is that a Legomanbiffo sound decoder in the Colas 66? Very nice sounds and very realistic. Please could you give me the link to the website where you can buy them from? Thank you very much in advance.
  19. Fantastic photos Tom! Really like the Revised livery on the DRS 57/3s
  20. Assuming the traction would be x2 37s I can't see this happening either yet. Another two 37s to work another train would make the 37 fleet very stretched I think.
