  1. A little photo edit I have done, I personally prefer it without the yellow
  2. The thing is legally they are not allowed to electrify it as it is a category A special listed building and it was deemed by historic Scotland that if the ohle was installed on the bridge it would ruin the look of the bridge and they would have to damage the steel to actually fit it
  3. I guess this would count A semi unbranded ScotRail 170 It had all the standard markings including the operated by abellio but did not have any of the ScotRail branding https://flic.kr/p/ToHy36
  4. I do have a book called strangest railway stories and in it there was a item in it that said that a farmer refused to sell his land to the railway company so the railway company got a compulsory purchase order and built the railway straighT through the farmers bedroom on the second floor
  5. Here is my what if What if rather than the 68 ScotRail had hired out a class 37 from DRS https://flic.kr/p/Sn6DpA
  6. I have a question for you guys, I'm currently fitting lights to my sentinel I've got the red and white markers already fitted and I'm fitting headlights to either end and will be fitting a cab light and flashing strobe on the roof but I was wondering how the lights are set up for running in each direction
  7. You should post the bottom two photos in the when the real thing looks like a model topic as they look fantastic
  8. Not strictly true if the new live action movie is anything to go by as the plot has Thomas helping a group of children evacuated to the country during WW2
  9. that looks stunning, love the way you have modified te RAF recovery set
  10. Looks fantastic put me done for one when you release it also how is the e train detailing pack coming on
  11. also here is a video of the flying scotsman and the 47 at waverley
  12. it wasn't the police helicopter it was the network rail helicopter G-NETW and the 47 was county of Essex
  13. defenetly one for your desk but we need you first
  14. Hi dmustu this is a quote from Kit Spackman who was tilt engineer on the APT-E across on the APT-E thread Yes, that's Hartley House on the opposite side of the road to the main bit of the RTC. It was the centre for the Scientific Services Divsion when I was there, and my wife worked there for a bit too.
  15. Although the Faller Car System still uses Reed Switches and if Bill could suggest how to do it I might give it ago also was this building used by the APT department at any time http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/uploads/monthly_05_2016/post-7477-0-23457500-1462910759.jpg
  16. Out of curiosity is there a way that the DCC chip can be altered to give us the ability to switch tc1 and tc2 lighting on and off like we have with the cab lighting
  17. suppose it would look better with some bogies although since they are VIP's it might not be acceptable
  18. Well my VIP's arrived this morning so after a bit of super glue and some friendly characters I can populate TC-1
  19. I'm guessing Paul will be doing 3d prints of all of the development team also would both cab lights be on whenever the train was running as my idea was to have a driver in the cab of PC-1 and PC-2 that way it didn't matter what way she was running there would always be a driver in the leading cab
  20. Would any of these figures work for either Brian or the inspector
  21. Thanks for the compliments Kit so you would have the driver, the inspector and Brian would you also have the second driver in there as well and the advantage of the way the model is designed the drivers cannot be seen unless the cab light is on I suppose you could have Brian in TC-1 as if he was walking through to PC-1
  22. I have added a bit more detail into mine PC-1 cab PC-2 Cab I used Bachmann's 1950's Train Crew
  23. Guessing that was while it was being shunted round
