  1. Any news on this layout? Can we see some pictures as they seem to have disappeared...
  2. Several times the Gare d'Orsay in Paris has been mentioned by you as a tempting layout design. Do you have a layout plan of the station by an chance. I have not had any luck finding out about it through Google.

    TIA

Extremely helpful. In my armchair planning I am always trying to find a city terminus station with a smallish number of platforms.

  3. Oxford Horse Trams had a depot in Green Street Oxford. I think the building is still the same one. The upper concrete lintel shows the height of the large doors that were there when I lived further along the street in the early '80s: https://www.google.com/maps/@51.7456855,-1.2331641,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sCEHyW49kkGdZ1k3_SMQiGw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Tim
  4. Thank you for the warning about the tiny radius. I had been intending to use them for some industrial Tankwagen using 4 wheel locos.
  5. http://www.minitrains.eu/mt-acc.html has track. I have been interested in using it as a replacement for the old eggerbahn track. Any one else used it? Tim
  6. Many issues of Narrow Gauge and Short Lines Gazette to be collected from West Berkshire (between Reading and Newbury). Complete years: 1985 to 1996 (inclusive) complete, 1999, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2011 - 2013. Many issues in between but too many to list. Contact via RMweb in first instance, Tim
  7. Another version of the track plan which I think will offer enough for me. I have used an engraving of Liverpool Edge Hill station as inspiration hence three tracks in the train shed mock up. In this version all four tracks are under the potential train shed. I placed the train shed in the wrong place. But I will move it back and use the nearest track as a goods line. The Y point at the back will also be connected and a couple of loco stabling sidings will be placed there. Which reminds me, does anyone have a dimensioned drawing of the earliest version of Edge Hill station. In the photo the middle locomotive is "Saxonia" made by Piko. There is also an Airfix Rocket in the picture which had been used for size comparisons earlier. No wiring has been done yet. And I am struggling with getting the old locos to run well. I may need to set up an oval of Bachmann's track for them to run in on.
  8. I have already posted on the Ian Simpson website this photo: from front to back are "Prussia", "Pegasus" and "Lafayette". The trackwork shown was an attempt to work out what would be interesting.
  9. But according to the plate "Theodor" has had no maintenance at all! Or perhaps the thunderstorms at night remove the chalk marks? The centre wheel has indications of a belt drive to the rear axle. Tim
  10. Would this work in 2mm scale? I guess that the partitions, ends and sides would need to be thicker than you have designed it. Tim
  11. I should probably make a new thread for it. A name came to me only this week : Belvedere. Unfortunately I have just discovered it is the name of a real station in South East London. My intention is that it be a diorama built in to a cupboard in my study and I can use it to display some interesting early trains and hopefully play a little.
  12. There is also Neath Riverside modelled by Hendreladis: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/65499-whats-on-your-2mm-work-bench/page-75?hl=neath&do=findComment&comment=2930681 I would love to see more pictures of this model - I am greatly intrigued. I began to build a GWR BG tilt wagon some time ago but could not get the requisite end sections to work in plastic. I must try again in thin metal. Tim
