    Spiders

We have a lot of Huntsmen spiders around and some of them get very large. They are pretty laid back though and I am the one who is called in to relocate them at work and home. Here is one from a few years back. Funnel Webs are not so much fun, they do get very excited if they feel threatened. Craig W

It is Winter over here and the last week or so has been a bit chilly. We have the downstairs heater on at the moment. Can you guess where it is close to? Regards, Craig W
  3. It is a shame that the tender does not seem to have had the same consideration. The springs are still the larger C1924 design and the water filler for a pre Great war loco would have been a different to the dome and separate filler. Craig W
  4. Famous last words!! I have a Farish 64XX and a Sonic 56XX sitting in the cupboard and calling me.. regards, Craig
  5. I really am enjoying this a great deal. I see so many people looking at going from 4mm to 7mm scale, yet for me the attraction is moving to 2mm scale. Looking forward to further progress. Regards, Craig
  6. I certainly am. When I get off my current panzer distraction I plan on pulling one apart to have a look. I have been put off Rapido by your observations, hopefully these will be possible. Craig W

This was the most comfortable spot Sassy could fid to lay down apparently. Regards, Craig W
  8. It is with quite a degree of frustration that I have watched my two Victory tanks being in transit from the UK. They left on the 27th and as of 5 minutes ago they are still "somewhere" Obviously, one can imagine my surprise to arrive home and find them on my doorstep! I have had a quick look and they look very nice indeed. Well done on a great model, hopefully there are more to follow. Regards, Craig W
  9. How far off is the completion of the shipping of the sound locos? I just logged onto the Light Railway Stores site and my order is listed as unfulfilled Regards, Craig W

I have a bit of a reputation for being a cat magnet and they all tend to hang around me (thereby proving the reputation!) It really does slow my modelling down at times but that is how it goes :) Regards, Craig

If you look under my modelling desk you will see a seventh lurking in the distance. Being involved in rescue, we share the house with 16 of them My wife was the one who wanted a cat in the first place, so I blame her. Regards, Craig

  20. The New South Wales Government Railways had 8 coaches built by Ashbury that were delivered in 1879. 54' long with a Clerestory, I think you can see where this is heading! I will see if I can find a photo of one of the local ones that can be reproduced. Fitted with lavatories from the late 1890s, the survived in service until 1938. If you ever do this as a kit, put me down for one! Regards, Craig W
  21. I always understood that red and black were not differentiated on the older films (as you say) and I take that Skinner wagon as red with two green planks, not the other way around. Ergo, I think Rapido need to reverse the colours! Regards, Craig W
  22. But that market penetration is entirely up to Hornby unless other companies jump on board to produce a cohesive range. If the sales do not keep to the levels that Hornby hopes for and they lose their enthusiasm to produce new models then the "new" scale will die. It has no history to keep it going and (currently) a very limited range of models to choose from. Regards, Craig W

    Dapol Autocoach

Why would it be better? The autocoaches were in use long before the 48XX entered the scene and it is a excellent addition to the growing collection of pre grouping stock that is trickling out. Craig W
