Was at Westbury at lunch time today and got to see 60001 getting ready to depart, but whilst it was waiting 60024 arrived with a second trainload of tanks. Unfortunately had to leave before all the shenanigans finished!

Loving all the pictures, My favourite class and I didn't get to see many of them as lived in the Lakes growing up and they had moved south by the time I was old enough to see them. Ill have to dig out and scan my pictures of the 50 farewell tour to Carlisle from Waterloo with D400 and 007!

What wonderful pictures. I have many happy childhood memories of Steamtown Carnforth, I think my parents have a picture of me standing in front of Mallard there when it was in steam in the 80's. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming. Do you have any pictures of Oxenholme back then or Windermere?

I wish one of the manufacturers would bring out a ready to run JHA hopper so I can run a set behind my 59!

I bought it from them at Warley! Along with one for a 47, havnt tried that one as 47 buried in a box somewhere.

Yeah though it sounds like they mucked up. Will ring them in the morning. Couldnt ring them today as they were shut from thurs until tomoz. Thanks for the heads up. I thought it looked wrong as ive had sound kits from them before that fitted straight away. Frustrating as i want to hear it. Once thats fitted itl be sent to yourself for repainting!

Hi Lee i have a 00 Bachmann 40 and and an esu decoder from south west digital, however i cant see where the speaker fits as it is a rectangular one?

Im interested in the late 80's early 90's when I used to see it coming through Oxenholme normally with a new 90 on the front.

Id prefer them either bare metal or correct colour and repaint the Hornby to correct colours.

Hi im a newby here so I hope this is in the right place. I am after some information on the Crewe Test Train as I would like to model it. Ive had a look at flicker for pictures but im struggling to identify what carriages are in it and what their running numbers are. I would like to model it as I can remember it running past my house years ago and also so that I can pretty much stick anything on the front of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Richard I Have tried to attach a picture of said train formation, however the pics of it on flicker are not available to copy or download. The train im after is the 8 carriage formation with 7 mk 1's in drab olive type colour and a blue/grey mk2.
