  6. Yes you are right Geoff it should really be attached to a loop on the solebar, although I have seen photos of it done the other way. And for the photo it was simpler to just attach it to the hook. Regards Paul.

  12. So have added some greenery to the scene, there is one thing about canals, weeds, grass and plants grow everywhere. Next up need to build the canal boat. Regards Paul.

  14. Thank you Dave, Scenic and figure painting are definitely my favourite bits of this hobby. Andrew stadden and Dart Castings figures are a joy to paint. Will have to do a tutorial at some point. You should have a look at Mikkel’s. The Farthing layouts, he is truly a master at figure painting. Regards Paul.
  15. A little bit more done today. First a buffer stop made from coffee stirrers. Thank you well known coffee shop. Then a street light added. Wasn’t going to add any lightning but found this one in my spares box so thought what the heck. Wired it up to a battery pack that used to power a small set of fairy lights.   16. Been working on the canal bridge over the last few days, not entirely happy with it at the moment but will see what it turns out like when it is bedded in and greenery added. Thanks for looking, more to follow. Regards Paul.

  18. Hi Mikkel, Thank you. The warehouse is a modified Scalescenes kit. Wills slate roof tiles and down pipes added. I’m a big fan of cardboard kits but like to kit bash them. Regards Paul.

  20. Granite sets weathered, and warehouse/mill almost finished. Regards Paul.

  22. Thank you all for the likes and encouraging comments. Laid the track, decided to glue the rails directly to the foam board, need to weather the tracks, then going to use wills granite sets to infill, hopefully will do this today. Regards Paul.

  24. Ok, so I have decided to give this challenge a go. Have cut a piece of mdf to 8” x 8” and made a small mock up of my idea. Canal scene with rail siding, canal boat will be half relief coming from under the bridge, small mill/ warehouse next to the siding. Regards Paul.
  25. Hi Keith, Thanks for the compliment. No handles, I just lift it out very carefully holding the back boards, their 6mm ply so are fairly solid. Regards Paul.
