Good afternoon, I find their website very easy to navigate compared to many out there. Clicking 'shop' in the main menu takes you to the shop page (there are several instructions on the page which direct you to this) then scroll until you find the category that interests you and click on it. You will then find sub categories to make browsing easier. Paypal is offered at the secure checkout so you can pay with Paypal or use your card. They also accept BACS and payment over the telephone which I have done on a few occasions where I have been unable to travel to the shop. Hope this helps. All the best Charles

Adults £5, Concessions £4, Children £1, Family (2+2) £10 All proceeds go to the Scouts I have never heard of this exhibition but myself and my good lady shall be attending on the Sunday and we are looking forward to it. Good evening, I went today with my wife, our first visit to this exhibition, and we enjoyed it. It was great to see the younger generation operating several of the layouts. The Underground Ernie layout we found unusual but entertaining as was Happy Valley the Thomas the Tank engine layout. We also enjoyed the Narrow Gauge automatic layout, I can't remember the name but it was German. A nice mix of British and none British layouts. I particularly enjoyed Chapel on le Frith layout by Leeds model railway club and the layout won two awards whilst there. Very well deserved we thought. I didn't purchase anything as the trade stands had nothing to tempt me. I wasn't overly impressed with the trade stands there, but you cannot please everyone as they say. I did however treat my good lady to some fudge from Sweets of Yesteryear so she was happy (and quiet whilst eating the fudge). Don't tell her I said that! I popped in this morning to collect an item that had been ordered in for me and Andy said that they have one Colas 67 left but it is currently being renamed and renumbered to 'Stella'. He also said that they have a Dapol Transpennine Class 68 being renamed and renumbered to 'Black Douglas' by their weathering man. All the best Charles

Good afternoon everyone, I popped into Sawyer Models in Leigh today to pick up a Metcalfe kit and they are now stocking the Bachmann Thomas range. In my opinion far superior to Hornby's range and a much bigger selection. Andy let me hold and examine some of the engines. I don't model Thomas but I can see these being very popular. Of course in that area is Hattons but before rushing to order from them, look at the other retailers in that region, look at Bachmann's website for a list, and support the smaller shop, they'll no doubt appreciate your business more, that is what I will be doing. The WC Class 37 & Pullmans were very popular. I was lucky to get a set when first announced but when my friend asked me to get him a set, the collectors club had sold out. So far I haven't run my 37 as I am redesigning my layout as I am not happy with it and it is taking much longer than I expected as I keep changing my mind. For the next club model I would like to see a Class 90 in EWS livery. I know the catalogue Class 90s are not available yet but maybe once available Bachmann will do an EWS version and maybe a DB Schenker version. Happy modelling All the best Charles
