  2. Hi Tony, thanks for the reply about the san cheng, Im interested in the David Andrews kit too so looking forward to seeing that, would love to see whats in the box to start off with. I agree about the rods and valve gear etc, for me it would be a kit. No real progress on the 40 at the moment, but some stuff to finish it is on its way Mike

  8. whos gonna be the first to scratchbuild one then? one thing youll need is a hell of a lot of warning stickers Mike
  9. Theyre definatley growing on me, I like your 58 livery Jo, how about replacing the crash boxes with split headcode boxes they remind me of a US loco (especially with that wide buldge on each engine side) with european cabs stuck on. I quite like the skirting around the buffers,I wonder how long thatll last, going by history, they look nice when 2 are coupled together, very close. chubby cheeks Mike
  10. some good photos at Stoke gifford http://rtranmer.fotopic.net/c1779643.html Mike
  11. good Brian thank you, no real progress on it sadly, been a little busy over the last few months and still havent got round to getting the bits to finish it off, but its going to be a nice thing to work on over the holidays. I did pay a visit to my local o gauge society the other day for the first time, the west lancs o gauge group, I took it along it and its certainly reignited my interest to get it finished. the guys there seemed to like it and theyre a real nice bunch, I will be joining in the next week or so and when theyve got one of theyre test track lines available for dcc running ill be able to give it a good run Mike
  12. this is one thread ive missed since the forums been changed, glad to find it again, your work looks as great as ever Brian Mike
