  1. Finally I can show you my "Catweazle" Sentinel. Corona didn't help, but am happy now!
  2. I am very pleased to read this. Since I bought 4 of your books on Amazon last year I am a fan. But, because I am from the European mainland I was worried about how to get those papers in good order to my homeadress. And the problem is not the British Mail but here in the Netherlands. So, there is allready a email on it's way. Thanks in advance, and to all the others get at least one of those great books about building with papers. And no, this no commercial message! Cheers Henk
  3. Finally complete with the headboard, happy me...
  4. Hi Ade, That's a very nice number 12 you got there. It's much better looking in GWR livery then the "Kermit Green" original livery from Dapol. Did you just respray it or is "Kermit" completely gone? I was looking for the same answer as you about the numbering. I only found this about the number 13. Cheers, Henk
  5. I will follow your thread, Neil. No worries! I was a big fan of the real thing and I am a railway modeller. Real things like two Class 51 with a heavy stealtrain on the Moresnet viaduct of line 24. So, bring it on. Anwerpen Dam or wherever you want to plan it.
  6. Where did you buy it, in a shop or directly from Dapol? When in a shop then this is the place where you have to claim your service. It seems like a wire or bad decoder problem to me. Wich is not the first time with Dapol 7mm. But, nevertheless the shop has the obligation to help you out. And the shop has to solve the problem with Dapol. It's a European rule and because the UK still is in a transition you still can claim those European rules.
  7. Got the email too and on the Tower website they say today will be tomorrow. What is a day more in a people’s life! I hope it can and will be sent over to the European mainland because a lot of European borders are closed allready.
  8. Hi Neal, Always nice to see those big Belgian Diesels, I remember them well. But, when you really are planning a kind of Antwerpen Dam I hope you know most of your loco’s didn’t got there. The class 52/53/54 and the green and blue class 55 were “Ardennen” loco’s. The class 55 most of the time on the line 42 from “Liege” to “Luxembourg”. And the class 52/53/54 only on the “Athus - Meuse” line. I read you got an class 44 motorwagon too, you could find those on “Athus - Meuse” too. Maybe you can change it in a kind of Bertrix, there were those big guys overnight. I remember I was there just on a sunday afternoon and 4 big engines were on without any planning until monday. All gone but still in my head!
  9. I think you are right, I preordered the 48xx more then a year ago. But, the loco still isn't there. Two weeks ago I bought a Sentinel for €169,- in Germany. In the UK you even can get it for £119,-. And the Heljan Class 61xx allready for £398,-, about 40% less. So, did I made a very bright dessision? Think not! But, my Narrow Planet headboard came last friday. And I cannot wait to glue it on!
  10. I think I lost some brain cells too. Because I can't find any reason why somebody writes about those toilet rolls. Is it because I am from the Netherlands, or what? The only thing I know is the lost of some of my dear friends too the bloody virus. But, I didn't wrote about that because this isn't the place for it. So, offend someone else, mr. David. Or better, don't offend anybody on the forum, get a life! Any news about the Dapol Class 48xx?
  11. Nothing from Hattons, not even on their website!
  12. Is there any news about the Stroudley 4 wheelers? Hopefully it wasn’t a wrong move to sell the brass Roxey Moulding kits.
  13. Manning Wardle 0-4-0T No.1248 built in Leeds in 1892 is preserved at Krøderen, Norway. So you even can take it overseas waiting for the Midsummer nights in 2020. I think my wife is looking over my shoulder now!
  14. Shinohara made a very nice tracksystem for Bemo H0m, better then Bemo's own tracksystem and far before Peco did made the Swiss RhB tracks. In those days we were very happy to have it, my Swiss FO/RhB loco's loved it.
  15. Hi Chris, does this DCC decoder got a "stay allive" or a "Goldcap" for all the happy moments when this great small loco crawls on all our layouts. Henk
  16. Last week the other 50% of my modelrailway team was at Tower Models in Blackpool to order one. They say Christmas or end of this year.
  17. Hi mr. Hatton's Dave, Isn't it a realistic thought to bring out the SECR P Class in 7mm 0 gauge? You allready made this great little loco in 00 gauge. And I think it would be a runner, just as it is in O0 gauge now.You can count me in for it...
  18. Yep, “granny” got this one allready and it’s a real “no brainer” for every LT and Pannier Tank fan.
  19. Finally it’s there, but have to say, L92 is a very nice machine. So, I am just happy she is there. But, what train do we use behind her. I found thes pictures a while ago on the Internet, I can use the Connoisseur BR kit for the Brake Van and some Parkside “Grampus” kits. For the 16T Mineral I need the Peco kit for the wagon and the frontdoor from the Parkside 16T. And both “Dogfishes” there are at least 3 options. But, what will you guys do... or allready have?
  20. Roger from Tower wrote me this week: “The Terriers should be out in the next 4 weeks”.
  21. What to think about this. We have had the color discussions about the “improved green” when the A1 came from Dapol. And now I saw this pre order loco from “Gaugemaster Collection” in a much darker “improved green”. Hattons price £184,- and even a £179,95 by Rails of Sheffield. Details: Class: A1x Terrier Livery: LB&SCR Stroudly Green Era: 2 (1875 - 1922) Wheel Configuration: 0-6-0 Finish: Pristine Specifications: Decoder: 21 Pin Ready Couplings: NEM Minimum Radius: Radius 1 Track Supply: 12v DC Locomotive Features: Sprung Buffers Sprung Coupling Hook Three Link Couplings Exterior Detail Interior Detail Beautifully Painted Body Fitted Hand Rails Firebox Glow 21 Pin DCC READY Cast Profiled Wheels with Appropriate Colouring Tungsten Chassis All Wheel Pick-ups 5 Pole Motor with Refined Gearing.
  22. Fenchurch even was in the Netherlands at “Stoomtram Hoorn - Medemblik” some years ago.
  23. Is there any news about the Red Panniers, when they will be in the shops? I ordered it at Tower the same day I read the news about it. I wanted a Red Pannier since We build a British 4mm layout when I was a member of the Den Helder Railway Club, back in the 90s. So the 7mm loco was a no brainer. Now I have to find some nice wagons behind it.
  24. Instead of Fenchurch I hoped for a Isle of Wight Central Rwy. version in red. But, I think Dapol wouldn’t sell enough of them. Maybe for another run in the future.
