  1. Going onto the subject itself, though, why do I have the feeling that's 15 minutes of my life wasted? Surely they could have done some more such as estimated launch times for future (already announced) models?
  2. Does it really matter, he was clear and easily understood, that's his job.
  3. There's enough of that already on FB!! 🤣 Picked up my first piece of TT120 at a toyfair this morning, a Peco open wagon! There was some BTTB and TT3 around as well but nothing of interest, though the BTTB reasonably priced.
  4. Well if Liverpool don't win the Prem this year they really don't deserve it, the other two have given it on a plate to them.

At last! We got Trixie back on October 2022, a rescue cat, she was very shy and still is. You may remember that we couldn't get her to use the catflap to get into the back garden. In September last year we went out, leaving her outside and came back to find her inside, since then she's always come back in on her own but still wouldn't go out! Last night we were watching TV and heard the catflap, funny, we thought, she was inside. So I went to the window and there she was, outside! Last night I had to push her through again but this morning she's been out twice on her own volition. Here's hoping... Its been a long road...
  6. Blimey, that's going back a bit! I wish we'd kept it now they've shot up in price and we'd get several thousand for it now!
  7. Hi Michael, a quick search of the Hornby shop answers your question. Its R4. https://uk.Hornby.com/products/curve-4th-radius-tt8006
  8. Anyone mentioned SAS: Red Notice yet? Another showing the Channel Tunnel entrance as bereft of OHLE but had some inside the tunnel, though at least they changed the name of the train to Eurostream! If you're thinking of watching it, don't bother, IMDB's 5 rating is about right! Not as bad as Bullet Train (2022) though.
  9. Surely you'd be better with a purpose built power bogie like Halling?
  10. There are several that have similar wheelbases/wheel diameters, but that question leads onto whether modellers are willing to accept the small discrepancies caused by doing a "one size fits all" chassis. Back in the 50s Triang did it in both TT3 and 00 without many complaints but these days? I suspect that most people would accept a compromise of a mm or so but there will be a small, but vocal, minority who will try to tear Hornby to pieces for even dare thinking of doing such a thing! I'd expect any 0-6-0Ts to be the same as the 08 which is centre axle driven.
  11. It is, TTe (or TTn2.5 or TTn30!), I've done three layouts in it, two of which have been in CM! Also N gauge equipment can be used for TTm (TTn3) as well. I have some Shapeways prints knocking around for that one. I found Z to be a bit of a s*d to get running correctly, especially in TTe where speeds are so much slower than you see in SG Z, at least that's where the Rokuhan stuff came in handy, they were nice, smooth, runners when I'd sorted out the controller. Quite honestly my operators and I were glad to get back to 9mm and 12mm gauges! Both show what can be done in TT, though, with railways in the scenery, Alber (the first one) was 6ft long and the other just under 11ft.
  12. Rokuhan is much cheaper than Marklin and just as good, the Japanese do seem to be able to produce stuff cheaper. But nowhere does it say that it's going to be an 0-6-0T... Just saying...
  13. J94 and Pannier have already been announced so can't be the "surprise" 0-6-0T and of all the other small tanks that's seen as the most likely. But as usual it's simply a guess, we'll see on 2 April.

Clever cat, it knows that it's Hooman doesn't eat birds and mice but does use teabags!
  15. Re the Jinty, its the wrong scale, though, it's like saying there's an 00 version so why bother, it's irrelevant as we're discussing TT, not TT3 or 00. Personally I'd prefer a larger LMS tank, 2-6-4 sized, even the BR standard version would be nice.
  16. Maybe, but I'd be surprised if they let it out with old markings on it. Gives a bad impression when involved in an accident.
  17. Someone on FB will be happy about that, he was having a big moan about it the other day. Its Hornby's fault that Peco fishplates won't fit Hornby track apparently...
  18. Only 17 more days of speculation to go... Not sure I can cope... 🙄 🤣
  19. Ok, we shall wait and see.

I like the way the radiator is heating up the cat and the CDs!
  21. It might, but as I said I'd rather they concentrate on getting the new stuff out. Sets like that are more for future to sell stuff that needs shifting from their warehouse. I suspect that a "toy" set may come first.

I assume that telling him that they are lizards without legs didn't work, then!
  23. For those of you who prefer Bottle Conditioned beer and not the fizzy keg stuff: After a trip down to Bournemouth recently I came back with two cases of Isle of Purbeck Brewery https://www.isleofpurbeckbrewery.com/ bottle conditioned beers and they are lovely, on a par with my current favourite BC brewery, Kinver https://www.kinverbrewery.co.uk/ .
  24. I doubt they'd be much of a seller, but you never know, the HST would be an obvious one. I'm more interested in them expanding their range rather than messing around introducing more sets. TBH there's been little benefit in the club since all the discounts went at the end of the first 12 months, I'm only still in it because it's free.
