  1. Hey Ho, thanks for that Andy. Back to the drawing board and no doubt more weekends spent on windswept preserved railway platforms selling our wares!
  2. I do hope there are some left at Bachmann so we can top up our original pre-order come June. Buoyant sales of wee 37099 factors very highly in my 2018 fundraising plans to support 37003! Much as wee 'Mary' was the star model of 2017 for us, and put a lot of new bits on the shelf ready for refitting soon. Lots of good stuff in the pipeline for this year, and I hope we can be of service to as many of you as possible. Martin www.c37lg.co.uk
  3. Hello Everyone! I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Christmas on behalf of the C37LG Committee and Trustees. It has been a tumultuous year for the Group, culminating in our successful movement to UKRL for the much needed overhaul of 37003/D6703 to commence. The support we have received along the way has been second-to-none, and I thank you all for keeping us going when the chips were down. In five days time (28/12), 37003 will celebrate her official 57th Birthday, under cover, and very much on the come-back trail. If anyone would like to 'put a pint of oil behind the bar' for her, you can do so here. It will be most appreciated! https://www.paypal.com/uk/fundraiser/charity/40803 Thanks again, and we are very much looking forward to 2018! The C37LG Committee & Trustees.
  4. Dear Santa. Can you please find someone out there with a Bachmann BR Lined black V3 Tank, 67646, or a Bachmann BR Black Fowler Class 3F Jinty, 47673, on their Christmas List as I would really like to see them go to a good home before the new year. (Other products also available if you are looking for a bargain! http://m.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html) Yours Sincerely MartinC37LG. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152803672072 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152789022748
  5. Along with your other two new toys Jim! Can't wait to see 521 in its new coat of colours. Another new bodyshell opportunity for the COLAS collectors!!
  6. Good morning everyone. Well I didn't expect to be back so soon! Unfortunately James has a few family things to give his attention to. So it falls to me to let you know that we have received our final order of 2018 from Bachmann. There is a good selection of items and you can find them all here: http://m.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html We have a run to the post office tomorrow night (Friday) and then again on Tuesday 12th, Friday 15th, with our final run before Christmas on Tuesday 19th. If anyone wants to request a special order? Then this must be with us by Thursday 14th. This will be the last order we can place with Bachmann until the end of January as they are having a new computer system being installed and commissioned. So all that remains for me to do, is wish you all a fantastic Christmas, and I hope you all get some time off. Best regards Martin.
  7. Blimey! The boy did good didn't he! I just want to thank everyone that has put up with me on here for the last year It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with you, and I am forever in your debt for all the support that you have given our Group and our loco. 37003. I will sign off now officially, in the knowledge that you are in very safe hands with James. I am happy to keep receiving your requests, questions and suggestions. I am only a click away if you need me. All the best. And thanks again! Martin C37LG Chairman.
  8. Good Evening Everyone. It's nothing personal.... But I would really love to see the back of our Bachmann BR Lined black V3 Tank 67646! It has just under 24 hours to run in our ebay shop, so can I tempt anyone with the knock down price of £96 inc. P&P? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152757126890 We also have one Bachmann BR Black Fowler Class 3F Jinty (47673) left, and whilst we are quite fond of this little "Jocko" it to needs to go to a new home. Only £78 inc. P&P www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152789022748 Thanks as always, and news of new stock heading this way very soon. All the best Martin C37LG Chairman www.c37lg.co.uk
  9. Thanks for another bumper trip to the post office tonight, if you were one of the many people that bought something from us in the last couple of days. We have just been invoiced for the first instalment of our power unit rebuild, so all your purchases are now making a real difference to the future of our loco, 37003. Thank you! Martin.
  10. GOOD NEWS! We've just finished restocking the shelves. Mostly old favourites, so I'll just direct you all straight to the action https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html I notice a few bits have already gone, so someone was keeping an eye on us! All the best. Martin C37LG Chairman.
  11. Thank you Gordon. Very kind of you to say. Regards, Martin.
  12. Hello everyone. We have had a few enquiries about the empty shelves in our shop at the moment. Fear not! we do have a lot of stuff on order, but Bachmann are now officially in the Christmas period, so the warehouse is taking longer to get things out. Hopefully we should be restocked in time for the weekend. This brings me squarely onto the subject of Christmas, and based on the time to get stuff into our stockroom at this time of year. I think there will probably only be one more order to service the Christmas posting deadlines. SO! If you would like us to get, or quote for, something for santa to bring you on Christmas day (Bachmann or Farish), then do let us know in the next week or so, to make sure that it is with you before the magic day. It has been interesting reading some of the other discussions going on here, particularly on the subject of next day delivery. It started me wondering about how many sales we might be missing due to our postage policy? Obviously there is not a lot we can do about it due to the way we are staffed. But doesn't stop me thinking about it! It is something we could maybe do for orders placed on a Tuesday and Friday at an extra cost, like we do for our international sales. Hmmmm. Very soon, I will also be introducing you to a new member of my team. James. He will be taking on the Groups publicity duties, including keeping RMWeb up to date. It is great to have new, and in James' case, young, people getting involved with the day to day aspects of Railway Preservation. Someone has to inherit it all some point, don't they! All the best for now. And hopefully we will be stocked to the max on Friday. I'll update you then. Martin. C37LG Chairman www.c37lg.co.uk
  13. Good evening everyone. I hope by the time I finish typing this, the items we have received from Bachmann today are still available. As they have literally been flying off the shelf! Just a small top up order this week to fulfill the personal requests we have received, plus a few extra items for those of you that have expressed an interest in having another chance to buy. So, in no particular order: 57603 Tintagel Castle in new GWR livery £113 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152766300472 66040 in EWS Livery with on board sound £180 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162731088784 66065 in Weathered EWS livery with DB Shenker branding £125.75 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162731086553 47346 in Dutch Livery with on board sound £175 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152766296550 MK2a TSO in Regional Railways livery £49.50 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152766309635 The ever popular Mk1 scotrail set £78 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162731093848 Something we haven't stocked for a very long time, but thought it was time to get another one! D9001 St Paddy in two tone green £121 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162731072042 And quite a fantastic find in their warehouse, and thanks to Bachmann for sending it to us. 37706 Conidae in Railfreight Petroleum livery. £100 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152766264954 We have had a good restock on all our Blue and Grey coaches, and these can all be found via our general link https://www.ebay.co....ch/c37lg/m.html We will be off to the post office tomorrow (Tuesday) night. So if you have a hankering for something new to play with for the weekend, then please make your purchase before 5pm to ensure it gets in the sack. Thanks as always for your kind words, and especially all your purchases. New and returning customers a like. Martin C37LG Chairman. www.c37lg.co.uk
  14. Good evening everyone. After a bit of a false start. All of our remaining steam locos are now in our ebay shop. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html We have trimmed them to the absolute bone in terms of profit after postage. So hopefully you can grab yourself a bargain at our expense. We will not be stocking any futher steam locos in our general shop. But will obviously continue to order them in for those of you that we are dealing directly with now. We should have another delivery next week after placing an order yesterday, which will hopefully be able to fulfill all of you that expressed an interest in 57603, and the sound fitted Class 66. Thanks as always for your support. We sent out 23 packages tonight. Which is quite amazing! All the best Martin.
  15. Good morning everyone! A belated summary of the new items that my sales team received on Friday, as I have just returned from a somewhat weather beaten Dorset! A fair chunk of them have already gone, including the GWR Class 57603, Sound fitted Class 66040, the Weathered 66065, 37284 and the Scotrail coaches. But do not despair! If you missed them. Please drop me a PM here, or email our sales team directly sales@c37lg.co.uk as they will be placing another order with Bachmann tomorrow morning, and it's always good to order things with a prospective sale in hand. So if there is anything you need from the current Bachmann/Farish catalogues? We can get it to you in around 10 days from when we order it. Prices are unbeaten, and service? Well that is second to none! Much like the cause you will be supporting Never the less. There are still lots of new goodies to be found in our ebay shop. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html This is the only place you can buy our model items from, as we feel their Buyer protection gives you the additional confidence to buy from us, if you haven't tried us before? We are in the process of relisting the remaining Steam locomotives we have in stock after they failed to sell last time around. I think our lack of experience in picking the "winners" has been clearly demonstrated with these! So if anyone is in the market for a BR era Steam Loco, please keep an eye out, as we will be reducing the price to the absolute lowest out there to clear them from our stock. All the best, and thanks for your continuing support! Martin Martin Ranson Chairman The Class 37 Locomotive Group Charity reg. no. 1137787 http://www.c37lg.co.uk
  16. Thanks for that heads up. I have updated our pre order website accordingly. http://www.c37lg.co.uk/shop_item.aspx?category=models&item=2722 For those of you that have placed an order for 37099 or 37049, you should have received an email notifying you of the date change. Cheers! Martin.
  17. The plot thickens. I did wonder if 37418 had come into the equation somewhere. But maybe not. Next time we see SB, we will ask! Assuming then Jim. Just for completeness. That 099 was limited to 80 as well? Cheers.
  18. That's interesting Jim. I wonder when 099 picked up cp7 bogies. Never had them in its original BR service period.
  19. Yes. Bogies are now under 37116 I believe. It's a tough game keeping the old girls rolling!
  20. Still awaiting a new Power Unit to be installed I am afraid. There is a big hole in the side of the old one. The connecting rod decided it had, had enough of the pistons company!
  21. Hello everyone. As promised, the big re-stock has happened tonight, and hopefully there a few bits there to tempt you. As requested, we have another GWR Class 57 57603 for £113 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162706191656 Two more sound fitted Class 66's 66040 for £180, which absolutely flew out of the door last time http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152736540131 New in for us are, the cracking little Fowler Jinty. 47673 in BR Weathered black, with late BR crest. Only £78 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152736627711 We have three, as a wise man once told me that everyone needs an unsung shunter! Also the two new VGA Wagons. Weathered Speedlink Railfreight Livery, 37-601B for £21 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152736631466 Weathered Railfreight Distribution Livery, 37-604A for £21 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152736634211 For all our other new items, please have a browse http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html As a heads up. This will be the last chance to buy the BR Brown ZDA wagon from us. As it is now out of stock at the warehouse. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162706325623 We've had a great run from this. Our next postal run will be tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, so if anyone has burning desire to have something for the weekend. Then get in quick! Thanks as ever to you all, and a small reminder of what it is all about. 37003 becomes a paint by numbers project as a result of UKRL's bodywork specialist highlighting the areas that need attention. And yes. We did get well into the 100's! Martin C37LG Chairman
  22. As promised. Here are the details of our first two "Pre-order" opportunities. And all the necessary small print I am afraid! Class 37/0 37049 "Imperial" http://www.c37lg.co.uk/shop_item.aspx?category=models&item=2723 Class 37/0 37099 "Merl Evans 1947-2016" http://www.c37lg.co.uk/shop_item.aspx?category=models&item=2722 Both are due for release from Bachmann February/March 2018 (This is the current Bachmann website assumption) The C37LG accept no responsibility for the accuracy of these dates. These items are for pre-order only. The price advertised (£90) is the deposit to cover the retail cost of us ordering a model into stock for you. Once the item is in stock, we will contact you for the balance of the model. There are two options. For the first 6 weeks, the price is £117.26 including UK P&P, so a balance of £27.26 is required. But if you want to wait till the 7th week, then we will match the best price out there for an equivalent "Brand New in box" model. And you will pay the necessary difference to that price, once verified. If you do choose to pre-order a model from us. We will email you to seek confirmation of acceptance to these terms and pricing. If we do not receive a confirmation from you within 7 days. Then your monies will be refunded, and your pre-order cancelled. You can yourselves, cancel your pre-order at anytime, and all monies will be returned. All prices are based on the advertised Bachmann rrp, and our prices are calculated based on this. If Bachmann were to increase their rrp, then we may have to review the final price charged. If this was the case. We would contact you to see if you still wanted to continue with your order. If you have any queries about this, or anything else. Please email us via sales@c37lg.co.uk
  23. Thank you Garry. That is very kind of you to say so. We model our service, on the service that we ourselves would want, and expect to receive from any supplier. I am glad that it met with your approval. We've had a great year so far, and look forward to doing the same next year. We are looking to raise £20,000 next year off the back of all our sales and fundraising activities, and hope that our support on RMWeb continues unabated. As a heads-up to everyone. We are going to start taking pre-orders on some of next years new Class 37 models, and anything else that people may want. So hopefully this will allow us to increase our sales, and become "the place" to buy Class 37's! I will post up the details later today hopefully with the first four. 37049 & 37099 (Due Feb/March), 37688 and 37884 (Due March/April). Thanks again, and keep watching. I hope to post some new pictures of 37003, well bits of 37003 being fettled, very soon. Finally. We are having a bit of a membership drive at the moment. So if anyone would like to follow the progress of 37003 in more depth. Then please consider joining up. We offer memberships starting at only £15 per year. Find out more here. http://www.c37lg.co.uk/join_form.aspx All the best. Martin C37LG Chairman.
  24. We have friends in very sticky places Rob! I could do with a box of them, as we'd soon pay for all the work we need to do on 37003!
  25. Good morning everyone. We are expecting a huge order on Monday from Bachmann. So to make a bit of room, we have trimmed a few pounds off some of our remaining steam loco's. You can find them, and the rest of our current stock here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html Thanks for looking, and keeping an eye on what we are up to. Martin C37LG Chairman.
