  1. Hi Andy,

Could you move "Hawkesbury" into the layout design section please as the current discussion is about introducing 009 into the layout and where it is - it isn't getting much member engagement - suggested by @Chimer

Thanks and well done with the last few days work.

      Hi Andy,

Two questions when you have time...

How can I access my older topics - I cant seem to get past 5 years - not a major issue just wondering if it can be done...............

Is it possible to access photos for a member/topic I am looking for inspiration for my 009 project and would love just to be able to flick through loads of members photos and even better if these could be subject specific - can it be done.

      Cheers

      J

I bought a Derby Lightweight (bargain priced at the time) and had to buy some more blue locos so it wouldn't feel lonely...

No I'm a committed Era 3 guy but love DMUs from childhood when I was allowed to play with my Dads railway

The class 101 as modelled by Hornby was introduced in 1956 and was available in pre 1957 livery

I have a Gutzold Piko 3 coach articulated German streamlined railcar based on the 1930s design.

Massive motor with flywheel and lighting and produced I believe over 50 years ago.

There are bargains to be had on there if you are patient enough. I got 2 Farish Suburban coaches for the prince of 1 in the shops and there is nothing wrong with them

I'm constantly looking for a 1/2 cab 1F but they never seem to come up - Track Shacks new price is very close to sale prices when they do - guess there are too many of us looking - no more locos now till Christmas so Track Shack might get the business!

  8. The track is taking over the modelling space!!

  9. I want a class 08 that will run over SL86/87 points new Hornby wont - any thoughts on much older versions

I am parking this idea for now as a Bachmann Jinty has this morning taken the available funds - I will revisit another day probably next winter when I can afford a Bachmann 08 needing restoration.

      Thanks for the input

      Have fun with the Jinty!

If you ever get into building things from Brass there is a Judith Edge kit of a Jackshaft drive LMS shunter - I think it's one of non Armstrong Whitworth versions though.

I'm sure I will one day - I am allowed another space in the homestead but its only 88x66 inches! But it is well lit reasonably dry and centrally heated so it might just suit light engineering when the main layout becomes too complete to afford space for off layout modelling.............one day!

  10. I want to renumber LMS diesel shunter - which transfers should i buy

As far as I can remember from Essery and Jenkinson LMS Locomotives vol.5 the lettering was hand-painted straw - I'm a few miles away from the book right now but I can check properly tonight, it might even have the letter and number sizes. They should be on one of the HMRS sheets.

I think I confused it with another loco I was looking up - E & J suggest gold with black shading 'C13' style which is 10" numerals. I think that's HMRS sheet 1
